We won’t be able to until Apps build it in and release an update. Which I can’t see Apple releasing to the public for updates until ios16.1 is in RC beta potentially.

Just like we saw a day early of the official release of iOS 16, apps updating with the lock screen widget functionality written in the descriptions.

There was an article that it is currently working for sports scores. If you follow a game in the Apple TV app, it will then display the scores as a live activity on the Lock Screen.

That makes sense as Apple itself is the provider. And maybe there will be other things from Apple apps until the 14.1 RC. But, as Pearsey speculated, I read that developers will not be able to take advantage until the RC is out. That probably won’t take long though. 1st/2nd week in October (I know, I know! That’s speculation!)

Does anyone know if the 16.1 beta has the iMessages fix in 16.0.1 for the 14s?

Yes, I know it’s exceptionally early to ask this.

Edit: I guess we’re about to find out.

And then it was blockbuster (boring) then the A-Team on Saturdays growing up.

Let us know if it does fixes the activation bug as well

Not sure you can get 16.1 on the 14s yet…. That model isn’t showing up in the dev portal for IPSWs. Maybe beta 2.
