Same, 56,000 galaxies… feel sorry for that intern having to count them all 😆😂

I have an iPhone 12 recently upgraded to Which has a physical SIM card. After the upgrade I’m prompted to setup esim, which I don’t have. And the message doesn’t go away in the setup app on iPhone. Anyone else notice this?
I may go and get an esim just so that I can get rid of the warning message. 😂
I love using esim. Dont know why i love it butHaving just recently gone from a sim to ESim on my 12, welcome to the club by the way, I did it so quickly online. Saved so much time not having to go to a physical store.
Enjoyed testing this the other day & will again today. Only thing I noticed missing was automatic updating , however from memory notes mentioned this will be added soon.Live Activities works in the latest beta using the latest TestFlight version of FotMob.
It seems like they have just removed it from the TV app.
I love using esim. Dont know why i love it but
Its realy light 😂😂😂It’s lighter? 😆😂
I find, after a restart, it finds the network quicker. 2 seconds lag with a sim. Pretty much instant with ESim.
If you removed the profile, you have to manually downgrade via IPSW if that‘s what you want to achieveI still can't remove myself from the Beta profile
I removed the profile while in Beta 2, then restarted, but when I head into 'Software Update' it pops up ‘Unable to Check for Update‘. Thought ok I'll wait till Beta 3 as it re-installs and updates the software, but same issue happened again!
It's driving me crazy, I have also tried connecting to iTunes and nothing.
There is no way i want to reset/restore to factory the phone, as I have far too many Apps to log back into, approve etc.
The reason I joined the Beta program was because my 'System Data' had a bug and was filling the GB.
So trying to solve one problem has created a new one.
That's a problem then, I did not save an IPSW fileIf you removed the profile, you have to manually downgrade via IPSW if that‘s what you want to achieve

Thanks for the help!I think you have now figured this out, but if you are not in a position to revert from a beta, you should not be on the beta in the first place. Even if it “solves a problem” for you.
I noticed an unusual bug; sometimes when you tap on a message in Mail, the previous message you read opens instead of the new one you tapped.
Sadly I stopped being able to reproduce it, suggesting it was a momentary bug. I'm going to submit a Feedback anyway, but just wondering if anyone else has seen it.
How’s it going since?I couldnt take it anymore of iOS 16.0.2.
Finally updated my daily 14 Pro to Beta 3 and battery is looking better now.
iPhone not warming up either.

If I remove myself from the Beta 3 (delete profile), and wait for the main public release of 16.1
My phone will finally update to this and I’ll be back on normal updates, and the ’unable to check for update’ will vanish?
Am I right in saying, all the 16.1 Beta versions, are lower than the actual 16.1 main Public iOS release?
If you see what I mean![]()
Thank you very muchCorrect. If you remove the beta profile now the next update you get will be the public release of iOS 16.1. This might happen any time in October, so you need to decide if you are ok to wait. Another option would be keeping going through iOS 16.1 betas, which should be improving the closer we get to the public release.
FWIW, I've been on the beta all summer, and the past few, I would have the "unable to check for updates" bug. But it goes away and appropriately shows the update when one is available (beta 4 expected next Tue).Thank you very much
I had that idea to jump into the Betas, only because my phone was stuck with the memory GB filling up bug
I thought an actual software update, regardless if it was a Beta or Main, would refresh/flush out the bug, which it did….
Although getting rid of that bug, gave me the ‘unable to check for update’ issue, only after removing the profile
Ok so if I keep the profile for Betas, the Phone will update eventually to Public beta and only then remove the profile?
You had me until you said Chrome. That is the worst. My mother in law uses it, and it’s const changing its behavior every few updates, get confused with default profiles for those with multiple accounts. The thing is a nightmare for me.Safari by far is the worst browser I have Ever seen. Been for a month, as long as I launch safari on iPad, there’s a very real chance swipe would not work properly or not at all, which means docks can’t be called From bottom. Can’t do notifications, can’t do control center and webpage scrolling is incredibly difficult. Also impacts multitask switching.
On the macOS, safari has the worst website compatibility of all major browsers with more than 10% marketshare. Any time a website I want to visit having issue, safari almost always come out on top.
Had apple not force developers into using their own WebKit engine, safari would have less than 10% marketshare even on iOS. Chrome has 70% marketshare for a reason.

Great, much appreciated for your helpYes, your phone with the beta profile installed will keep offering you to install new betas as they become available. As soon as you delete the beta profile, this process will stop and you will then need to wait for a public release. So you can delete the beta profile once you are happy with how your phone works and then wait for the public release of 16.1, which will probably be in the second half of October.
