iOS 16.1 Beta 3 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Man, I'm bummed that live activities isn't available on this new beta 3. I've been using it a TON for baseball and went to follow the mets game (not a mets fan) and the follow option isn't available. Seemed to work flawlessly on the last beta

This is my first beta of 16.1, and I was looking forward to Live Activities. Really bummed I can’t check it out. I hope they add it back quickly.

i agree, i was going to use it more often to check if it affects battery drain, it did well with beta 2, by the way iOS 16.1 beta3 on my iPhone 14 Pro max battery drain is excellent doing my daily task, safari , emails, waze, youtube ,bank apps etc.

Anyone notice that 16.1 feels a lot faster than 16.0.2? Everything on the phone feels quicker and more fluid.

Just wondering if it's some sort of placebo effect or if it's really faster for everyone else too.

Yeh. When I mentioned the older iPads should be able to run it I was shot down by all the self professed experts. All these sudo technical reasons why it was impossible. Last laugh

Going to test it now.

I think you’ll find why Apple hesitated. It’s not a great experience.

This was one of the top features I was looking forward to with the dynamic island. Hope they get it back to us.

I wouldn’t say I am super impressed with beta 3 battery life, but it’s better than 16.0.2. I am on track for about 20 hours of battery if I don’t use the phone a ton. I am losing about 10% every 2 hours or so.

Yes, kind of.

I have been comparing my 13 ProMax to my OnePlus 10 Pro (and 9 Pro before this). The 1+ has been generally quicker all through iOS 15 and 16 regarding Home Screen and app launch. Apps themselves are another story.

I am seeing that some aspects with 16.1 where it has gotten faster. More than just speeding up of the animations.
I hope they continue to improve this

I have my doubts that they’ll improve much. You’re asking processors not designed to handle that kind of load to do a lot here.

It seems like they have just removed it from the TV app.

Getting false Find My "Left Behind" notifications at EVERY stop I make on my Chipolo Card Spot since upgrading to this beta.

No anomalies with my AirTags - just the Chipolo.

Reported to Apple.

That makes zero sense. My TV app is messed up anyway. It keeps telling me connection lost. Come on Apple, we can do better than this

Having issue with messages and selecting a new message. When I type a contact name it will show 10s of group conversations with that person, many of them duplicates. I am unable to delete any of those groups. It's very annoying actually.
