I have this weird problem with my 14 Pro Max for all three of e 16.1 Betas. Wirelesss charging works during the day and stops at 10pm at night. Nothing I have found, even a reset and restart will fix it. i have a vague theory that maybe it’s to do with the new Clean Power feature? I live in Australia and the clean power isn‘t showing as an option, but I am wondering if the phone is looking at some other part of the world where it is?

Has anyone else experienced this?

I’m on an 11” iPad Pro 2018. Weird that you’re not seeing it. You on the latest beta 10?
Wow, that’s really strange, but it gives me hope. I do think I am on the latest beta.

EDIT: After looking through Reddit a bit more it seems that this is affecting iPad Pro 12.9’’ 2018 users. Several users with iPP 11’’ 2018 seem to have the option of More Space.

Mine is 12.9’’ :/

As a 2018 11” IPP owner, I can tell you that I had the option for more space.

Is Optimized Charging enabled in battery settings? Sounds really annoying.

From what I’ve read, third party widgets cannot display calendar or reminder data if it comes from iOS, so if Fantastical is pulling data from iOS it won’t display. I have my calendar synced with Google and it’s in the widget but reminders sync with iOS and they don’t display.
wtf, isn't that the purpose of a lockscreen widget?

To quick glance when it's locked.

iPadOS 16.1 is awful on my iPP 11" 2018. Very buggy. Crashing all the time. Stage Manager is useless on such a small screen. Rolling back to 15.7 now.

I know, that’s why I expressed it works like that, but builds would be different. Just showing him steps. Couldn’t find iOS 16.1 to iOS 16.0.2.

To get back to iOS 15.x would be tricky now unless someone has been well organised and archived a back up from say 15.6 and Apple still signs this when they do the restore.

It’s a tricky one without a Mac too, as I’d just download the IPSW, hold alt and click the check for update button giving me the option to select the iOS I wanted and your away. Easy pearsey, ha ha.

Windows by default now will put you back to, as you say, 16.0.1 or 2 👊🏼👍🏼

In lockscreen until you unlock your iphone does your messages still have the name/names on notification?
The miss call names are not shown but the messages names are..in this beta is this fixed?

I have to admit, now that I have it on my 2018 IPP, that Stage Manager seems way less helpful on my iPad than on my Mac. I won’t go as far as some tech celebs and outright condemn it, but the utility doesn’t seem to be there. What does it do that the old-style multi-tasking doesn’t? Overlapping screens are not all that compelling.

I suppose if you want to use the iPad as a digital dashboard (say with calendar, reminders, stocks, and messages open) as an adjunct to your iMac, it might be helpful. But it’s probably not all that much more useful for general productivity than the existing multi-tasking was. Of course, the one killer feature might be monitor support, which I haven’t had an opportunity to try (since Apple removed it from this beta). However, given the general sluggishness I feel just using it on the iPad, I can’t imagine them giving this to the older iPads (which is probably why they didn’t get it in the first place)

When I silence a certain group/contact on WhatsApp for, let's say, 1 week, the next day I will receive notifications, even though I silenced them for a week.
This started to happen with iOS 106.1. I don't know if this is a WhatsApp issue or iOS 16.1.
Anyone?

I've been thinking this, too. Having 8 apps across iPad display and external display could be pretty good. But I really dislike how the resizing of apps works in Stage Manager anyway. So it makes me think that single app, bi-tasking or tri-tasking works well on iPadOS, but for any true multitasking I'll be getting out my Mac.

Apparently Stage Manager has been expanded back to 2018 iPads! Big!!!
Yeh. When I mentioned the older iPads should be able to run it I was shot down by all the self professed experts. All these sudo technical reasons why it was impossible. Last laugh 😂

Going to test it now.

Like cinematic mode on the iPhone in 4K is only possible for iPhone 14 and 14 Pro and not for the 13 or older.
14 uses nearly the identical chip as the 13.
