Congrats. Turns out everyone has different opinions and preferences.
However, considering the reactions to my post and the general reactions in this and other threads, it's pretty clear you're in the minority. It is what it is.

Superb performance on beta 4 for me. I actually haven’t encountered a single issue and I use my iPhone 14 Pro Max quite heavily with lots of the common apps. I’d definitely recommend this for daily use - that’s what I’ve been doing. To me, beta 4 feels better than the current full release - 16.0.2. Happy days 😊
Great battery and zero crashes/bugs encountered in any of my apps or the actual OS. I’m a UI designer by trade and can confirm that things ‘look and feel’ very slick indeed.

Same. I believe it also helps to fix the IP addresses of devices and bridges via DHCP reservations.
Fix the shortcuts automatin annd lockscreen widgets for me too.
Seem also no more midnight charging reboot, and particular apps staying in the background 60 out of 60 mins.
I’m still having issues with the camera not being able to focus properly on 14PM. Not sure at what point I should assume it’s a hardware problem and go for a replacement. 🤡

The bug with 3rd party Find My devices persists (at least Chipolo) - still getting "left behind" notifications every time I leave somewhere. Updated the bug report.
Woke up this morning and everything in Home looks perfect. I wish it offered more granular control on the Hue lights but it’s nice to see everything up. Shame I still can’t add my smart switches though.
Find My isn’t doing that for me - all working as expected with all my Apple devices and AirTags.

Back to square one it appears. I have had two screen lockups with this latest beta - one in Mail, the other in Twitter. The only thing you can do is swipe up to close then kill the app. Relaunch fixes the issue.

Other than that I am not seeing anything different from beta 3. Battery though is worse and incorrect. I charged last eve to see what overnight drain is like. This morning it is telling me 8HR SOT and 31Min off.
I have it in a Magic Keyboard case.
Going to give it one more day and if there is no improvement I’ll give the Pear Method a try - ipsw.

Before assuming it's a hardware problem, try to rule out other possibilities (because that's what Apple will do if you try to get it replaced).
Have you had these focus issues only in beta 4 or earlier betas? What about with the official release 16.0.2?
With the stock camera app, third-party camera apps, or both?
Does the camera have an equally hard time focusing in different lighting conditions?
Is it all three cameras or just the main one?
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't understand the drama about the outline around the dynamic island. It's already there for me on 16.0.2 with dark wallpapers. What makes it different/worse in 16.1?
Oh, I’m just stating my use case. It’s just incidental information - it doesn’t negate the original statement in any way. Just chatting about how it’s working well when just used with Apple’s products. Sorry there are issues with third parties - hope they get fixed soon.
I updated to 16.1 beta 4 and browsing today I noticed this AccessibilityUIServer in my Apps using ICloud. I don’t recall it being there but it could have been there a while. Google couldn’t tell me what it was. It was turned on & I turned it off. Does anyone know what this is used for pls?

But what exactly is different in 16.1 over .0.2? I haven’t been able to figure it out yet. Is it more pronounced in .1?

I have just discovered that I can download all of the old stock wallpapers for each model of iPad. This has not been working for me since about the second beta of 16.0.
Perhaps we are getting close to release although Stage Manager remains quite flakey at times.

Anyone know any apps that can use to live activities with the dynamic island in this beta? I know the TV app is broken, but does anything else use it? I would love to check it out.
