Federico Viticci says Stage Manger is still a dumpster fire. I’ll be surprised if it ever gets released.
Regarding live activities ... https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...o-promax.2364897/?post=31610906#post-31610906
It's odd, as it was working well for me before it was removed.
Personally, I think Federico and Steve Troughton-Smith are both being drama queens about this feature. Does it work perfectly for me on my 2018 IPP or my 2020 M1 Mac? No. Does it work well enough? Yes.
Is there any difference with True Tone compared to earlier versions? Not a big fan of true tone. Always switched it off on my previous devices but i decided to give it a go over the weekend on 16.1 and i must im really liking it.
I agree. The feature is working just fine for me. They use it in such an extreme super duper advanced way that it can almost be considered an edge case for most users.

I can’t stand it. Why I want everything to look yellow just blows my mind.
Speaking of which, see what happens if you drag down on the Lock Screen and then drag back up instead of releasing your finger.Precisely. It’s like posters here who complain about something that only happens if they pull down the screen at precisely a 2 cm/s rate, turn the device at a 43.5 degree angle and type Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious backwards while whistling Dixie.

Wrong, see blow.It is new…. Never had it before.
Exactly the same here on 16.0.x, examples:Well when 16.1 comes out you’ll see, it’s not just a faint outline that’s only there once in awhile, it’s there almost all the time, and it’s VERY obtrusive and bright, and even changes colors depending on what it’s being used for.
On the lock screen it’s always there in AOD mode even with a slightly dark background. So if you’re using an oled black wallpaper to save battery there’s this bright hideous outline around the island for NO REASON AT ALL.
Some clueless boomer exec must have thought this was a good idea and forced the designers to do this as nobody with a brain or an inkling of design talent would completely destroy iOS on the pro series phones like this. Not even Android phones come with such hideous and pointless trash like this, Apple is scraping the bottom of the barrel with mistakes like this. The fact that it has not been removed already just proves they are absolutely lost.
Yeah, but your profession conditions you to dislike it. But it is useful in work areas with lots of incandescent lighting.
Damn you😂 you made me turn it off and i like it more off now😂I like true colour, not true yellow tone 😆😂
Install and de-install againI don’t have podcasts installed but it’s showing up in settings, pretty sure that’s a bug.
Done so twice and rebooted, still showing in settings.Install and de-install again
Wrong, see blow.
Exactly the same here on 16.0.x, examples:

I can go on and on with a plethora of different activities.
Also a very ugly and annoying green glow on the active call activity, always been like that.

Was there on 16.0.1 and 16.0.2. Has always been there, even noticed it the short while I was on 16.0 after setting up my phone on launch day.Was it there on 16.02? I never saw it other than maybe 2% of the time until 16.1 beta 4.
Apple needs some Wisk! This is all I can think about when I see the dynamic dirty ring around the island now!
But what you’re missing is that it was so faint it was imperceptible most of the time, why do you think it got so much negative attention when beta 4 dropped last week? It was NOT like it is now where it’s this bright garish looking outline that’s there most of the time. And for some reason when you visit macrumors it goes away, maybe they did something to disable it since it’s so hideous? Try going to a site like 500px, and see how bad it is. It also changes color depending on what is using it so if the app icon is the same color as the area around the island you’re not going to notice it as much. Was there on 16.0.1 and 16.0.2.
