Beta 3 is significantly better than the first two on my 14 Pro Max. It’s smooth and I haven’t really noticed any bugs at all. The battery life doesn’t really seem any better or if it is, it’s not by much. But I know we are still in beta so hopefully they get that sorted out. But so far so good otherwise

Mail - push

With this beta I am seeing an issue with Mail updates for push accounts.
When I interact with an email on any one of several devices, both the iPhone and iPad do not update the status of the email nor the associated badge. Updates just fine on my MB, my Android, my PCs, etc...
The only account that properly updates is iCloud Mail.
Note: I do not use fetch accounts with the Apple Mail app.

Reported via Feedback.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence or not, but after todays security update test, my Hue lights are failing all over the place.

Issuing commands from the Hue app works fine, but anything from home has bulbs not respond in various scenes in various rooms.
Luckily, mine still appear to work ok. Even Siri is able to turn my lights on and off, which is a skill it regularly gets amnesia on.

No worries and thanks for checking. My frustration is with Apple, not you. I'm on the beta now so no need to check unless you're also curious.
Ok so I let my alarms run and both the sleep time one and my manual one went off and the widget changed to the next scheduled one. Now I am back showing my morning alarm for the second time. So it’s working perfectly for me. Seems most issues with iOS16 are with the iP14 devices. Us old school phones seem to run flawlessly. 😁

Interesting. I would've never had thought that it would be phone model dependent but here we are. Definitely not working on my 14 Pro but I'm only using the sleep alarm and not a manual one.

Maybe you two are onto something with it being specific to the model. I have this issue on my 14 pro max using the sleep alarm.

If you think about it, it is different firmware per device since different hardware supports different things. Like I have no options for Promotion items. The stutter everyone was having never happened on older devices just Promotion 120hz models. However, things like widgets updating or not shouldn't be an issue between different models but it is different code on the two different devices so there ya go. Anyway glad to have shed a little light on this one.

Did anyone else get that security update today? I’ll admit I didn’t search for it.
Yeah, you are a bit late to the party. Look back a few pages. This was a test of the new rapid response feature. Nothing more.

Thanks! Tbh I was being lazy

I can’t open my App Store on my M2 iPad Pro as it immediately crashes. I have the newest beta and have tried to reset it.

As you have the option to delete it, try that, see if there’s a change.

Then reinstall it if you want to.

Almost two days on iOS 16.2 Beta 3 and can confirm battery life is the same as before on my 14PM.

10% drop every hour of screen active time.

I must have a 14PM lemon.
Well that equates to 10 hours of constant screen-activity in a charge. That’s actually what it should be…batteries do run out with use after all. 10 hours usage in a mobile is great 👍🏻

Agreed. Also, retesting AOD wallpaper off per battery life. Still drains some, but not as bad as before. So, I think. Haha.

So couple of notes. Battery life seems to be much better than previous versions of iOS 16. Would say it’s a win. On the 14 PM.

Second, the alarm “bug” with the widget. So in prior version, the widget either never showed the alarm, or showed it once and then when the alarm went off it never showed up again. This beta it works. I have a 4:30am alarm set for ever Tuesday-Friday. So I have noticed, once the alarm has gone off and been turned off, for a couple of hours the widget shows no alarm, then later on in the morning it shows the 4:30am alarm for the next morning. Seems to be working perfectly for me. There is a gap with no alarm shown, but that seems right to me. It shouldn’t pop up with your next days alarm until later on.

The lock screen weather widget keeps going blank and fails to load unless I restart my phone.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Same here. Off-loading the weather app doesn’t help (don’t even try unless you want to re-add weather complications on all your Watch faces and don’t wanna have your Weather wallpaper messed). Have submitted the bug? I’d refer to your feedback ID when submitting mine.
