Still getting this screen in Apple Music even when I have a connection. I think this bug has been present since before the 16.2 betas.
Been listening to MIA’s MATA quite often since its release (including now) 👀

Op: there’s a regression with notifications on iPhone 14 pro (max). Apologies if it’s been mentioned.

Unfortunately it has come back. It took 72 hours this time, way longer than with any other version. So definitely not solved for me.
That sucks. So I guess you need to submit the feedback. They still have 1-2 betas before final release so might really be fixed by then.

Did a basic IPSW reinstall of beta 3 on my 13 mini last night (shout-out to @Pearsey) for the first time in months; it could just be a placebo but Face ID seems more solid, battery life may be a tinge better, keyboard lag has basically vanished…overall it’s really been a nice experience even compared to beta 3 OTA (which was already great).

I think I’ll keep this practice up and make it something I do more regularly! 🤓

Something about a reinstall clears up a lot of stuff. That full install works wonders.

Where have you been hiding? 🤣 It’s the emergency satellite connectivity that they turned up. There’s even a demo you can go thru on your phone that shows you what to expect but doesn’t actually connect to a live emergency service.
Ahhh! I know about the SOS emergency satellite connectivity but I was referring to the icon if anyone has seen it in the real world out there. Have you?

I might make this version for a permanent daily driver on my 12

this version easily have the best battery life.. Take it off the charger and leave the house at 10 Am.. and its at 6% by midnight, 90% using mobile network, and also this include about 1 hour of gaming, thats super for a 2800 battery

Also this version runs Mobile Legends game super smooth (The most un-optimized game ever made lol), and it throttles at a higher temperature so i dont need a cooler anymore

Just friendly advice: try and keep your battery out of the red, if possible. You’ll increase the lithium ion battery’s health by not letting it deplete that much. They don’t really like being charged to 100% and then run down to 5%. These modern day battery’s like to keep charge in the cells which keeps them healthy. 👍🏼

It seems that in beta 3 airplay has been broken. I try to cast any app to my TV and it doesn't connect to it. Someone else happens?

There was a lot of talk about the security update last week. When I got it, I applied it to one device, but not the other, that run the beta 3. I eventually submitted a bug because ....

The second device never applied the update, despite having automatic install turned on. I manually installed it after 3-4 days. I'm not sure what target they're shooting for, but for critical security updates of a zero-day exploit, I expect the phone to apply it pretty quickly without involving me ... I wasn't even notified of the update on the phone, it didn't automatically apply, I eventually went in and manually searched for the update, and then manually applied it. The bug I submitted was about automatically installing security responses ... and it failing to do that. I expect it to apply it pretty quickly.

Which area are you seeing an issue with?
Software Update

As you have the option to delete it, try that, see if there’s a change.

Then reinstall it if you want to.

Now for those earlier who were having issues and advice was given to uninstall it, I wonder if it will eventually automatically re-install? What happens if you have Install on, Security Responses on, and then you remove an update, if/when will it re-apply?

It was broken in beta 1 (a number of people reported it in that thread), but beta 2 and 3 resolved it for me.

I thought the last time you did this it was the same as the OTA. Or am I forgetting? I should’ve bookmarked that post. 🤦🏼‍♂️ 😆

Installed thur on my 14 pro max. Not one stutter. That alone is worth the price of admission. The stutter was driving me nuts.

Dropped frames in switching out of messages and other apps is back for me. Not as bad, but for sure back. I am starting to lose faith in Apple ever fixing this. Not sure why it’s so hard, but it’s about damn time they fix it. Battery life today hasn’t been great either.

That's pretty impressive and has solid battery life. You could have gotten more usage if Power Mode was activated on 20% of battery life.

As of this weekend, all push email no longer "pushes". Just like Fetch, you have to open the account to get it to update.

For me this is Exchange and iCloud.
