There was a lot of talk about the security update last week. When I got it, I applied it to one device, but not the other, that run the beta 3. I eventually submitted a bug because ....

The second device never applied the update, despite having automatic install turned on. I manually installed it after 3-4 days. I'm not sure what target they're shooting for, but for critical security updates of a zero-day exploit, I expect the phone to apply it pretty quickly without involving me ... I wasn't even notified of the update on the phone, it didn't automatically apply, I eventually went in and manually searched for the update, and then manually applied it. The bug I submitted was about automatically installing security responses ... and it failing to do that. I expect it to apply it pretty quickly.

Automatic updates of rapid security patches weren’t automatic
Which area are you seeing an issue with?
Software Update

Now for those earlier who were having issues and advice was given to uninstall it, I wonder if it will eventually automatically re-install? What happens if you have Install on, Security Responses on, and then you remove an update, if/when will it re-apply?
I assume you had the beta profile installed on 2nd device? I read somewhere it only went out if you had the profile actively installed, not just running the beta.

Oh really? I was expecting a beta today - is it always the case that there isn't one before Thanksgiving?
Yes sir. Apple released a new beta right after next week after Thanksgiving. I have a feeling Apple will follow the same pattern. So, We can expect a new beta to hit on November 29th, 2022. See the post below.

Cool 😎 The current beta is very good so no real rush I guess.

how is your battery life. I see both devices XR and 12pro with less battery life than with beta 2. Both are ipse install and reset of network preferences

Yea since a lot of people are taking off, traveling etc. they won't release a beta this week. Besides not a good idea in case some major issues right before the holiday.

Anyone get this update day after beta 3 was released?

Has anyone noticed the Freeform app not working properly? In beta 2, I could sketch stuff on my iPad and it would show almost immedaitely on my iPhone, but since beta 3 it doesn't seem to be syncing correctly.

Does anyone know what happened to beta 4? Its already thursday and no update..
It will be available next Tuesday, that is 29th November 2022 at 6 PM GMT. (convert to your timezone.)

You cannot get any more precise info than this.

13 ProMax / iPad Pro 11

Safari
The sync between the devices for favorites and bookmarks is busted.
As of Saturday they don’t match in number or order.

Messages
Messages forwarded from one device to another no longer update correctly.

Reported via Feedback.

The longer I use this beta, the more it appears to be breaking down.

I used it quite a bit over the last week and it was syncing from iPad to iPhone pretty quickly, however I was having issues printing. I had to print to PDF first to get it to work.
