I have often wondered why Apple didn't make it a little tougher to install a beta IPSW. Would cut down on the unauthorized IPSW download sites.

They actually did used to do that. You had to register each individual device ID on your developer account before you could load beta IPSWs on to it. They stopped for whatever reason.

My 14PM froze for the first time today after installing the rapid security response 16.2b. I uninstalled the rapid security response update and so far no issues again.

I didn't automatically get the new security update. No notifications at all.

I've just gone into "software update" and it loaded and now shows, but if I ignore it there's still no notification on the Settings app that there's anything outstanding.

Been having weird "issues" with connectivity. Seem to be mostly with Xfinity WiFi, but seems to be with LTE at times too.

With Xfinity, I'll be connected, but connectivity is sporadic/slow/doesn't work at all. Turning on / off Airplane mode resolves. I thought it was with my inet service as I've had issues, but that was resolved today and still noticed the issue continuing with the phone. (couldn't connect to app store so ran ping test which showed dropped packets and high MS returns. Airplane mode on/off resolved immediately)

Hoping modem firmware with today's beta drop.

OFFLOAD, the app and then reinstall it.

normally clears up these type of things.

Lucky beta 3 is really quite good anyway. Not too bad for another while.
