Can someone kindly on an iPad, Mac and iOS device see if screentime is “working” on more than 2 devices with this beta 4. By “working” I mean it’s enabled on all devices and each devices usage time can be viewed on all of the other devices

It limits me to just 2 devices on ios 16.1.x

Thank u

I just tried that. So far I had screen time sharing disabled and only looked at it in individual devices, without combining data.

Now I enabled sharing on my MacBook Air M2, iPad Pro M1 and iPhone 14 Pro Max. When doing that, all data just shows empty, as if I didn't use the devices at all. Also, when looking at the device list, it shows weird things (2 iPhones just called "iPhone", an iPhone 5S which I haven't turned on in forever and an iPhone 12 Pro Max which I sold 1 year ago).

So no, definitely not working.

Anyone else’s Notification Center looks like this when pulled down? Works fine when waking up the iPhone though.
Happens every time on my 13P.

Nope.

Sounds like a few hard restarts need to be done for a lot of you, then retest.

Next step would be reinstall using the IPSW file.

Retest.

Report.

I can whole heartedly say I’m not seeing any of these bugs. Maybe the push mail one, but I have everything on a timed fetch.

Tried the reset and the reinstall just to cover bases. Only thing left is to report.

PDFs seem to be showing up first time in Mail if the message was saved with an attachment in drafts.

This was handy because if you want to send a email using the send later feature, if you'd created an email and set that up on your laptop and the lid was down, the email won’t send. Because your Macs in sleep mode.

But if you create the email on your laptop, save to drafts, then set up the send later from your iPhone, that’s always got connectivity, it will send, always.

(I have just turned on “wake for network access” to Always on my MBP to see if that was the culprit.)

just great. Thanks though. So many people rely on screen time and they can’t get that working. Didn’t have any issues on iOS 15

Just to be sure we talk about the same thing: what symptoms are you seeing? Does it show up empty, or does it do other stuff it's not supposed to?

So I have a Mac Studio running Ventura 13.1 and iPhone 14 pro max running 16.1.2

Both with screen time enabled and syncing work great

I recently got an iPad Pro 12.9 m2 and running 16.1.1 With screen time enabled the issue begins. Screen time on macOS and iOS won’t update and the spinning throber just spins. All 3 devices appear in the screen time list though but no usage update from either.

So if i reboot the mac or the iPhone then it screentime works again but in screentime devices the iPad is removed.

if I use the iPad then the usage on the iPad attempts to sync and we’re back again to both Mac and iPhone screentime not working But the iPad returns to the screen time list.

so thinking it was the iPad I turned off screen time on all devices and on a different day I brought each device back again. I enabled it on the Mac first and then the next day i did the iPad and they both synced perfectly.

so the following day I brought back the iPhone and then problem began again.

so again I removed all the devices and brought the iPhone back on day 1 and just the iPad on day 2 and they both synced again well. So I brought back the Mac and problem began again.

so basically only 2 devices allow screentime to sync regardless of which 2.

didn’t have this issue on iOS 15.

theres another thread on this here and after some researching there are some threads on this issue related to iOS 16 on apple discussions too and reddit But more so with their children’s iPads not syncing to the parent devices so i suspect its related .

Interesting. I will give this a try again once I update all the devices to the latest version (including the Mac, where I'm not running the beta), then I will report back.

Yeah just wondering why I don’t see this, but then I have a 14pro so different firmware.
It only happens when you got something playing or any kind of notification and you pull down for the Notification Center.

My iPhone is constantly using system based location services on this beta. Done hard reset etc.

on my iphone 13 pro this does not happen. System services don't require the location any more than they already did. Only the weather app, but because I have animated wallpapers according to the weather in my location.
