Thought I’d hop on 16.3 B2 for giggles and see how it was going. I personally had tons of touch response issues UI wide. Including tapping on a picture, scrolling, back button in Safari, etc… Not just in apps or certain areas. Restored this afternoon.

Pretty much the worst single bug experience I’ve had in a very long time. When it was in app, closing it did not help. Usually took a restart of device.

My $0.02.

For those with the always 24/7 on Location Services, I am finding that any app that triggers a location, Compass Calibration and Networking & Wireless are also triggering.
A repeatable test:
1. Check - these should be grey or absent
2. Open weather app or weather widget > weather app
3. Go to Location services - Weather and Compass Calibration and Networking & Wireless will be active (purple)
Can get it to do this every single time. Other apps that trigger LS also do this.
No idea why.

I’ve got all these enabled and don’t have it always on. I do have the icon for System Services disabled as there’s something that’d constantly be using LS throughout.
But if people with the persistent icon are having the issue despite the System Services disabled I’m not seeing it on my 13P. Haven’t had the issue since the last time.

Looks like beta 2 builds have been a regression. Ws it 16.2 beta 2 that had the scrolling bug where there was a jitter as it slowed down past a certain speed? It was so unbearable to see when scrolling in literally every app that I had to downgrade back to beta 1.

I found that Find My was using LS constantly. Had to switch if off and now LS has stop being used. Battery usage also improved.

I do not have the beta yet. Could someone please test this....It would be really nice if this SIRI issue was corrected and provided more than just the area code of a caller. Prior to 16.0 or 16.2, SIRI always announced the entire area code and telephone number of callers. Those callers in the contact list as always have their name announced, but other callers are only announced as a call from the 3 digit area code and the rest of the number is not provided, except that the full number appears on the IPhone screen, but looking at the screen while driving is quite dangerous. Can anyone test this beta and tell me if this issue was corrected? Any caller not in the contact list should be announced by SIRI with the entire calling number and not just announced as a call from just the 3 digit area code. This is broken in 16.2

I turned off Find my, and a whole bunch of other stuff, waited, but the icon is still on nonstop

The best beta I’ve ever been on.

Everything works. Phone hasn’t crashed once on 16.1, .2, .3 WhatsApp has always worked. Safari is fast and responsive.

I’m at the other end of the scale on my 14Pro wondering what all the fuss is about. But it is a beta so you know you might be in for a choppy ride. Just always back up. You’re asking for it if you don’t.

The rush to install, can be your downfall. Ha. Just made that up.

I finally bit the bullet and got on Beta 2 with my 12 mini. I have to say I haven’t noticed anything amiss in the last 48 hours. Battery drain seems normal (not better than 16.2 but not worse), apps aren’t misbehaving, volume adjustment on phone calls works fine… even the constantly-on Location Services seems to have been fixed with this beta.

Maybe the issues people are seeing are confined to the newer phones? In any case I’ll keep my eye out but so far so good here.

Edit: Well maybe spoke too soon. Just had a complete lock-up when pulling down to access search on the Home Screen. Needed to do a hard reset.

Hi, apologies if this has already been asked, but where is the add stop feature in maps now ? I cannot add more than start and destination. Thanks!

So you have everything under System Services turned off?

If this is any help as I’m not seeing the issue. I normally have the LS icon off as it does my head in popping on and off, personally, don’t really see the point in it apart from to annoy people it’s on 😆

Aside from one problem I had right after I installed the beta my 13 is working perfectly. That meaning it is working perfectly for the way I use my phone. Right after the install Safari would not load anything but a simple restart fixed that problem and everything's been great since, no complaints from me.

Thats a feature not a bug! We think you are gonna love it. Landscape and portrait at the same time. Lets see Android do THAT!

This icon is giving me a headache. Always on…View attachment 2141556

A headache over an arrow icon? Perhaps turn that off and save yourself some grief (and Excedrin)
