Garbage all these bug fixes and I still cannot add any of my devices back to Homekit since ios 16...wtf

After the Home update on 16.2 (which I foolishly did…), my Hue lights and Logi Circle 2 can’t be added to my home anymore…

Those that are having issues with the battery life. This video seems to fix it.

I’m trying not to laugh and also not to be hostile, but we all seem to spend money into smart things for the HomeKit and spend soooo much time to set them up, only to stop working all of a sudden. What a joke world. Need a Time Machine asap.

Although battery seems to be better, I'm having all kinds of visual glitches like clock disappearing in the status bar, stuttery animation when swiping up on the lockscreen for notifications and the wallpaper screen completely crashing after editing. Another thing I've noticed is that wi-fi seems to drop more frequently...

I know these aren't first world problems, but they seem so sloppy this far into iOS 16. Here's to hoping the next version isn't rushed out like it seems 16.3 was.

Kind of a 16.3 (and AW 9.3) wrap up for me....

My current top 10 annoyances: (in no specific order)
  1. Fetch in Mail doesn't work properly. You have to open and wait for the update even if you have is set on a timer
  2. Notifications can be seconds to minutes apart across all devices for the same notification
  3. Random Notifications will light up my 13 ProMax screen at night even if set to Sleep Focus and DND
  4. Notifications when tapped or long pressed don't link to the app or a menu - functionality keeps morphing with each release (including betas)
  5. AW Ultra will turn red middle of the day - Night Mode
  6. Stutter with some videos in HQ and in some games.
  7. Weather is still mucked up. Often just wrong or displays forecast instead of actual.
  8. Random screen freezes in app - mostly Messages and Safari
  9. iMessage and SMS (Messages) interaction between Apple devices doesn't always align
  10. The Camera just isn't getting any better (photos). Actually I would say it is getting worse. Video though is awesome.
Honorable Mention:
  1. Battery while still good ain't what it used to be - 13 ProMax
  2. Stage manager is pretty poor - iPad Pro 11 (2020)
  3. Private Relay and Limit IP Address Tracking works well when it isn't causing issues
There are others, but these are the ones that bug me on a mostly daily basis. Most used to work well at some point, except for the watch, and to make things even more frustrating, most of these work just fine on my Android - I want them to work well across all my devices.

Anyway ... here's to hoping 16.4 beta shows us a little luv.

Hand on heart don’t have or experienced on iOS 16 + (iPhone 14 Pro)

1,2,3,4,8.

The others I can’t relate to in my daily usage.

I had fetch issues on my 12 in mail back in the early stages of ios15, we spoke about that actually, reinstalling Mail worked wonders, since then, has worked really well with a Gmail and an exchange account.

Totally agree with, not that I disagree with the rest, on number 3. Private Relay - Always my number one go to if safari is playing up and it fixes the issue when off. Normally then turn it back on the next release.

Mail did work after reinstalling however with 16 that went back out the window.
It for the most part works well with my Exchange accounts (2).
I’m down to two GMail accounts and cannot get either to work consistently on Mail.

Clean Energy Charging states that it will "in your region, selectively charging when lower carbon emission electricity is available.." so I suspect this wasn't the time for you to charge up.. 😆

Thanks. Overall, I like the vast majority of settings and features in iOS but this one annoys me because it takes control over a device that I own without my request. Optimized charging is a utility feature. Clean Energy is a euphemism for we know better than you because you are in need of help that you didn't ask for.

At least you can turn it off. 🤷🏼‍♂️
