I was asking if there's a way to update an iPhone on a Mac with IPSW without doing a backup

Why would you do anything without backing up? Dangerous game that.

But yes. download the IPSW file and connect your device to your Mac. Hold option down then select "check for update" button, select the IPSW file and it will update.

Well.. my mac has 256gb of storage and my iPhone 512 🤷🏼‍♂️

How do you install this new build (20E247) if I already installed the RC build (20E246)? Can it be done OTA or do I have to download the IPSW and update thru the Mac? Thanks.

Hmm anyone loose the beta updates options after switching off and installing this build? I mean other than me 😳

[Edit] interesting, switching off “download iOS updates “ brought it back. Now can also switch it back on and option stays available.

I still had the beta profile on the RC but it's gone in final. Blank screen I had when launching apps is fixed.

Erm... the blue progress bar is gone for me
