I don’t have a paid developer account. I’ve logged into the developer web site, but not paid for it. On my iPad and iPhone the option to enable iOS 16 developer beta updates showed up after upgrading to iOS 16.4. It doesn’t seem like it should be as I’ve never had a beta installed on either.

My iPhone and Safari App are stuttering very badly. I’m going to reset my iPhone. Don’t mind me but this iOS 16 is a piece of cra… I hate it 😂.

Somebody, please fast-forward to June 2023 already.
Damn, really? Everything is like butter on my end. There definitely was some change in Safari, though, cause I noticed my Start Page was completely reset. And Private Browsing also has the same Start Page now (was that even possible before?).

Just finished resetting the iPhone. Hopefully, it works like magic now. 🪄

Could you elucidate please? My show didn’t stop once during the beta cycle.
Attempting to start music from CarPlay causes CarPlay to crash ~10 seconds in. The only way to get music to play is to pick up your phone and start it from there.

Attempting to add a song to Play Next, from the phone, causes CarPlay to crash.

Notifications on the Lockscreen often require two taps to expand from the count view (between the Flashlight and Camera buttons). The first tap makes the text go gray, the second actually expands the list.

Tapping links why in Private Browsing do not work when you first switch to Private Browsing. You have to close Safari and reopen it in order to make them work.

It's the same thing I've been saying for the last 4 betas.

Um…. Mine didn’t. I mean I can still choose between the normal, dev beta, and public beta.
That is different than the profile. The profile was in the ">General>VPN and device management" settings. Those are no longer used after 16.4 so Apple is apparently deleting them from devices automagically.

Not replying would be impolite. So … I can see your frustration and:

Your CarPlay bugs sound unpleasant but my Toyota doesn’t have CarPlay so I can’t sensibly comment.

I don’t have a count view on my Lock Screen. Don’t know whether it’s configurable but I don’t use it.

However I can categorically say I don’t have your Private Browsing problem.

I would not do that until at least tomorrow. Not enough time to complete post install indexing, etc…

Interestingly I turned off beta, installed 16.4, and lo and behold, I still have the Feedback app.
Did a reboot and it persists. See below.

Also the Photo Select screen has changed. I used to have two rows in the middle; the top row was actual devices or persons I could send the photo to, the lower row was app or function to use to send. I now only have the app or function row. Add to this the menu selections have shrunk. I remember there were several options where now below Copy Photo I have just three. See below.

If I toggle Development Beta ON then the Feedback “app” appears. Toggle it OFF then it disappears again.

👑 You are 100% correct! 💫

My iPhone is running warm! I can already tell a lot of indexing going on in the background. Could take a few days before it completely settles in. ✔️

Feels like scrolling with ProMotion is much more reliably smooth for me (safari, Reddit, etc). Fewer random hitches. I like it

Edit: Keyboard haptics are now almost imperceptible … except for the return key 😂👎
