I know maybe this is too much to ask, but... is there someone with an iPhone 8 or 8+ with the 16.4 RC? Can someone tell me if this new "voice isolation" feature works on cell calls on those devices as well? Thank you.

I’ve got the dev profile on board. And the IPSW file went on smoothly as have all the others for 16.4.

Could be your phone will only let update the public as maybe you don’t have a registered email for dev account.

When your phone rejects the IPSW, that window that opens you can still hold “option” on the install button and reselect the beta 4 IPSW file.
yes I could - probably is the dev account thing - anyway RC installed in the second intent :)

I don’t have an 8 but I’m pretty sure it’s only for XS/XR and newer

Edit: yeah

Yeah, I just went to check wether the FaceTime voice isolation had any hardware requirement, and it was available only for A12 devices or newer. So yeah, this feature is probably just for A12 and newer devices as well.

Thanks for the info though!
Hey no problem! Hope you get to try those audio filters soon; voice isolation works wonders.

I tried it both ways with one of my HP minis and it worked. Took a few seconds though.
Well that’s interesting. Thanks for checking.

If you start playing music directly from the HomePod mini, can you then transfer it to the iPhone? (I can AirPlay from iPhone -> HomePod, but can never transfer from HomePod to iPhone when music was initially started from the HomePod)

Classic.

Not a critical bug by any means, but it just looks so sloppy. Wish Apple would take a little more time to address the cosmetic bugs.

Mine are correctly displaying in the pop-up…I don’t remember the last time the engraving was shown properly. So funny how wildly the software experience can vary between users.

On another note, the image selection window that came up in Safari when I went to post this was super glitchy and flickery.

Yeah it’s always fine in the pop-up.

My screenshot was from the AirPods section of the Settings app, which shows up when AirPods are being actively used.

My maximum battery capacity on my launch day iPhone 14 Pro just dropped from 100% to 99% on this beta.

Glad to hear that. How long does your watch usually last on a full charge? I’m considering getting an ultra.
When I first got it I’d get 56 hours with Sleep tracking and all features on. The last beta I was only getting 48 hours. The RC has only drained 5% in 6 hours since it came out which is finally back to normal. Best Apple Watch ever made imo. Definitely get it!

Sounds amazing. Could charge to 80 and still get a full day with all the features. My 1st gen lasted maybe 10 hrs without the AOD! :p Time for me to save up.

Handoff worked fine with both my gen 2 HPs and iPhone running 16.4.
Hmm. Can I ask you to try something?

Handoff works fine for me if I start playing music on my iPhone and then transfer it to the HomePod (it’ll show the “iPhone -> HomePod” description). I can also transfer music back to the iPhone from the HomePod with no issue.

The problem for me is that if I initiate playing music on the HomePod itself (in other words, not using the “iPhone -> HomePod” method, but actually starting the music on the HomePod itself), I can’t transfer it to the iPhone.

Would you mind testing this so I can start isolating the problem and troubleshooting? Thanks.
