Has anyone experienced excessive battery drain on ipados 16 when using a usb-c to DP port? You can even notice it when you leave the ipad connected but idle and not under any use - it can drop by about 20% in just 4 hours. I wonder if the usb-c connector is drawing power.

The temperature here has dropped by 10°C compared to yesterday. I guess Apple found it easier to change the weather than correct their code.

Even though my weather settings are configured to present the temperature in Fahrenheit, the little temp widget on my Lock Screen presents in Celsius and I can't find a way to change it. Anyone else?

UPDATE: I found that you must have location services enabled for the Weather app and then the correct unit of measurement is used. (I typically don't enable location services for weather apps unless I am traveling.)

Anyone else experiencing WiFi issues on iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16 beta 2? I also had them on beta 1 but only got them since today on beta 2. Tried reinstalling via IPSW and resetting network settings, unfortunately that didn’t help. My network is slow and keeps showing the message ‘no internet connection’ in settings.

IPad Pro 11 2020
Safari and Maps

Ran into an issue where if I copied an address from a web page (was looking at homes for sale), I could not paste that address into the search bar in Maps. Could paste it in Notes, emails, etc…. To get to that address in Maps I had to use “Look up” or ”Open in Maps” from the pop up menu via the web page.

I happened to be looking at my Lock Screen when a message came in then disappeared. No notification bubble, nothing in NC. Just gone.

13 pro max here . Not seen any WiFi or cellular issues so far on beta 1 or beta 2. WiFi seems pretty flawless. Only have 70Mbps .

I’ve had random text message conversations disappear from the Messages app. Just gone. Started happening this morning.

Starting a new message and typing in the name of the contact seems to bring it back. Weird.

Yep. Can confirm. Had to restart today and restart the wifi. I’m using a TP-Link Deco Mesh X68. I actually think it could be mesh related. You using mesh?

I had tons of WiFi problems on b1. B2 is way better.

Yes, I am! Ubiquiti Unifi 6 Access Points over here. I'm currently updating via IPSW again, this made it somewhat better the first time.

I’m using FritzBox router with two additional APs With mesh enabled. Ie a single ssid across all 6 signals with 802.11q and 802.11v . Security is wpa3 + wpa2. Backhaul is Gb Ethernet.

Different kit may vary in exactly what mesh Support is of course.

A but off topic but Tbh I’ve been blown away with the stability of the Fritz devices. Nothing fancy or super configurable but they are so much better than previous ASU’s , netgear just in connection reliability. But nowtv tried others in the last few years or mesh

Issue with spotlight search taking like 5-10 seconds to show a search is fixed. Still not instant like previous iOS but a lot better than beta 1.

And the annoying safari bug which always scrolled down to the bottom of the page when searching is gone too :) happy days
Safari issue persists, my bad

Am I reading into/do this wrong? The way I have it set does it mean that in silent mode the keyboard should have haptic and NO sound and in ring mode I should have sound and NO haptic?

I would interpret the in (green) position as the equivalent of “yes” but I agree that these are very poorly designed.
I take it that way as well. However the way pic shows the haptic is active on keyboard wether silent or not 🤷🏻‍♂️
