Finally we can hide stupid memories!
If I turn that on, the Photos widget won’t show any content, only a message that Featured stuff is hidden or turned off

Is there a way to stop Memories (ie, those autoplay videos) from appearing in the photos widget but continue to allow featured photos to show up?

Not 100% an iOS 16 issue - i have an AW Series 7 Cellular. On iOS 15, it could be away for hours from my iPhone and the LTE connectivity from my Watch wouldn’t kill its battery. Today, (iOS 16 + WatchOS 9), my watch died in… 30 minutes from 90% battery away from the iPhone… something is wrong there.

Widgets question:

did anybody noticed any improvements on widgets in iOS 16 ? Nothing was mentioned during the keynote presentation, but everybody expected more "live" and "interactive" widgets. Are they as boring as ever?
(I'm not talking about Lock Screen...)

Thanks

Not unusual. watchOS does not always play nice with the iOS betas. Try re-pairing it.

So far they are more or less the same. They seem to update more frequently however which is a distinct improvement.

Not going to be changed on iOS 16 at least. Their first step into that direction is having those new „live widgets“ on the lockscreen later this year

I am getting this error message while updating to iPadOS 16 beta 2 using ipsw.
Anyone - how to resolve this. Do I need to install something on my macOS Monterey 12.4 to enable installing iPadOS 16 betas?

Shared tab groups isn’t working on my 13P. No contacts Show in the collaborate section. Works fine on my MBP running Ventura. Any one else having issues?

sometime over the weekend, apple has started to sign this second beta of ios 16. i tried to update with the ipsw file with itunes, the latest version downloaded from the microsoft store on windows, and it gave error 10. i tried with the latest version of 3utools and update with the file without problems, so it is a matter of little that apple updates itunes to fix what is failing right now. I also don't rule out that with the version of itunes downloaded from your website it can work, but I don't feel like downloading or uninstalling the current one to try. but from windows with 3utools it is possible to update, and I suppose to restore, with the ipsw file.

iTunes restoration doesn‘t work until Apple releases an iTunes update in September with the public release of the new iOS release.

If you want to restore a beta you need a macOS device with the compatibility patch installed (can be found on the developer portal).

I was running into this issue as well. Finally just did it OTA. I had the Xcode beta installed, too.

yes i had that error, work around that work for me, I'm using 2015 MBP Monterey 12.5 beta3, you don't need to install Xcode 14 beta2, just extract and install MobileDevice.pkg (build date 06/19/22) from newest Xcode 14 beta2, successful IOS 16 beta2 IPSW file with Iphone 12 Pro Max, IPhone XR, IPAD 2019 (6th gen), i don't use iTunes by the way.

The curious thing is that the error occurs when Apple must authorize the update or restoration, and that is when iTunes gives the error. however, 3utools does get authorization from apple and updates without any problems. I think that in the next few weeks we will get an itunes update that solves this, or will make the necessary changes to the servers if that is where the problem is, but I don't think it will take until September as you indicate, because this beta of ios 16 is already is being signed, that means that with the release of the public beta they will have to have everything ready. In fact, if they are signing the second beta right now, I wouldn't be surprised if next week they launch it as the first public beta.

People said the same last year and it didn‘t happen until the official launch.
