It now does something when you click on it, but for me it bugs out and doesn’t actually merge anything. Also between pressing and the pop-up was about 10 seconds.
This feature actually worked from me since beta 1...

Anyone else think it defeats the purpose of unsend message for  to announce to the other user that a message was unsent?

I feel like that’s going to cause issues with people bugging about what the message was.
It works this way on literally every platform where you can unsend, so....

I don't think it's a duplication bug, but an oversight of intention function, because if you tap into each one it'll say "This watch is not paired with this iPhone" and all the dates for the data are different (at least mine). I'm pretty sure any time you unpair and then re-pair the watch, Health sees it as an entirely new device, even if you restore from backup.
I think that's exactly what the bug is, you re-pair or restore the same watch and the Health app thinks it's new. Perhaps there are virtual devices in the system and everything works as it should, but it contradicts things in the real world.

Was this level of device control present in beta 1? This is on the Lock Screen.

Volume control is definitely new.

Sometimes when using the black and white filter for photos on wallpaper photo shuffle it will leave the subject colorized. It doesn't stay that way on saving though and it seems a bit random when it happens during customization. Maybe a feature in progress

Just to clarify my earlier post. It works like the "Background" mode of the Watch photo face, just weirdly and intermittently

I thought so. Basically will make the Lock Screen a remote for most purposes. Much easier than opening up Control center and selecting the Remote applet there. Or fumbling around for the physical remote in a darkened room.
We have a real remote problem. Black + silver in the bedroom, silver in living room and black in theater. In need to reprioritize those but the option on the phone will help for sure.

I'm wondering if it's a bug or something privacy/security related? Could it possibly be because the watch itself doesn't back up Health data but its synced from the phone? Or maybe it really is just a bug and they mean for it to be recognized as one device.

I pretty much always restore new when I restore my phone, so I have a lot of phones in my health data too, which makes me think maybe its related to backups?

I’m pleasantly surprised to see improved battery life on my 12mini with beta 2. Almost tempted to jump in with my main device …

Can’t please everyone; I personally would prefer just sending the edited message with an *Edited* annotation - this method, however, allows for the original to be seen, which is a positive in those harassment/abuse/violence situations where the offender would simply delete the trail. Perhaps more tweaks here incoming.

I suspect that there will be tweaks for the trains tot give. But also remember that unless you are messaging someone who is also on the beta, you’re not seeing the full in effect.

I like the idea that it is possible to view health data from each device separately, but if in the list of devices they are like “Name's iPhone”, then it should always be only one. At least if there are several of them, they should be like “iPhone 12” “iPhone 13” etc. or “iPhone 20210901” “iPhone 20220601” or something like that. What we have now doesn't make any sense.

i'm just testing up the new. Dictation features. The smart punctuation works pretty well. But every once in a while. It adds an extra period where it shouldn't. Even that last sentence haha.

I think there’s a potential for more serious issues if there was no notification of a message being unsent.

Personally, I don't see the value of having a second iPhone battery indicator when there's one on the status bar at all times. I have it showing my Apple Watch battery on the lock screen. It looks pretty nice.
