Weather and Weather Widget

Was looking at the WW on both the iPad and iPhone. Says a nice 69F and Mostly Sunny.
It’s actually 69F and overcast. I reported an issue also reported via Feedback.
Weather and screenshot off my patio. With B3 the weather conditions seem to be hit/miss.

Did you use the “Report an Issue” button (iPad version pictured below)?

Airdrop from macos is not working for me. Anyone else having this problem?

I've got an iPhone 8 running the Public Beta right now.

Is Depth Effect on the Lock Screen working for photos from your own Photo Library?

On my iPhone 8, it works for the in-built wallpapers (Astronomy, iOS 16 default, etc.) but whenever I try to use it on any photos in my library, it doesn't do it even though I see the option for it.

I've also tried it on Portrait Mode shots that were sent to me from newer iPhones (XR, 11 Pro) but even those don't generate a Depth Effect?

Is this a bug or because I'm using an older iPhone?

joined the public beta with my 12 pro max. no major issues. all apps seem to be working such as my banking ones. i remember having problems with them on iOS 15 public beta.

If there is one thing I can never complain about, it is the Weather app in my area. Always spot on, particularly when it tells me it is going to rain and for how long. I've become so reliant on it and it is always correct...scary...

Setup shared photo library on iphone. on ipad with ipados16 beta it is still giving me the set up option. Should it not mirror the settings on iphone?

Two issues I'm experiencing with the public beta.

First one is very trivial - waking the screen is a fraction of a second longer than in iOS 15. However this fraction of a second seems like an age and makes the phone feel less responsive to engage with. Hopefully this isn't by design.

The second thing is less trivial and I just don't get it. I've been waiting forever to snooze mail in the native email app. I can't use gmail or outlook because I use them both for work and I need the separation.

The problem is, when you use the remind later function the email stays in your inbox. When you swipe again after snoozing, there is no option to archive the email, only "hide" which appears to do nothing. You can archive the email by going to more options (more presses) but if you do that the email doesn't appear in your inbox again when the reminder is due and there is no reminder notification.

Surely the whole point of remind later is to manage to inbox zero. Doesn't seem to be a way or I'm doing it wrong.

Running the public beta on iPhone 13 mini. All my apps are working fine. Only some visual bugs here and there with iOS itself especially on the Lock Screen. But overall satisfied at the app stability so far for the first public beta.

Downloaded public beta last night on my 12 Pro Max. First thoughts are nice however couple of initial observations, both fed back to Apple. If I select calendar on lock screen , when I wake the screen it’s correctly blurred out until unlocked. When it unlocks it sometimes shows the event , other times the widget along with all other widgets just vanish. Have to out & start over again for them to come back.

Secondly , more of a suggestion for Apple. Can’t see any reason why there’s not a iMessage or mail Lock Screen widget. Larger one could say how many messages etc & blur out information like it does the calendar. For whatever reason Apple don’t like embracing iMessage widgets. Also on lots of lock screens there’s so much wasted real estate as per picture. Could easily offer more widgets. Lastly , why have they made it so complicated to have different Lock Screen & Home Screen. Was infuriating me last night & when thought I’d cracked it , was ending up with same pic. Very unlike Apple to have this feeling & looking so cumbersome. I’ll feedback any other stuff as I encounter.

I’ve noticed its designed so if the picture you’re looking to use would block out the time by a certain amount, it will put the entire time on top. You can see it change a bit if you zoom in and out on certain pictures.

Only change in the below pictures was a slight adjustment to its location

I’m liking the new music widget in the Lock Screen, however I’ve noticed in all the betas so far that it fades away too quickly, in ios15 the music widget would enable the screen to stay awake for a lot longer, maybe 10 seconds, while in ios16 so far the screen only wakes for 2-3 seconds even when music being played. I prefer to have longer when I’m skipping tracks etc

Ever since iOS 15 I have not been able to connect to Bluetooth longer than 30 seconds. This happens in the car. There are a few threads from others about this issue in the iOS 15 forum, so I know it is solely not my device or car. Has anyone had any issues when testing iOS 16?

I reset my iPad in DFU last night and retried the beta download. Still gets hung on the last little bit of the progress bar.

Never had this much trouble installing a PB before. Ugh.

Rain widget is still f’d, this issue started after original beta 3, and this newer beta 3 didnt fix the issue. I reported this to Apple but they didnt fix it, gonna report it again.

Yes. I reported an issue and filed a feedback report.
I only asked on the "Report an issue" thing, as it's pretty obscure. But I suspect it's designed to crowd-source locating areas where reported temps/conditions don't jibe with boots-on-the-ground observations. And I suspect that that occurs frequently in areas like yours where I suspect seaside temps/conditions differ from those just a few miles inland. Just speculation on my part...

Did you delete the earlier download? If not, follow these instructions:

1) On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings and tap General.

2) Select iPhone Storage or iPad Storage, depending on your device.

3) Locate and tap the downloaded iOS software update.

4) Select Delete Update and confirm you do want to delete it.
