I realize this is a beta however why does it seem like iOS/iPadOS functionality is getting more and more complicated to set and use?
Don’t worry! The fanboys are here to reassure you you’re just using it wrong 🙂That’s what I’m saying! It’s because the design is getting less and less intuitive, and also with more and more steps and processes.

Bike workout?OK. What in the world does the bicycle icon mean on my iPad? It’s not in the official “lexicon” of status bar icons (https://support.apple.com/guide/ipad/learn-the-meaning-of-the-status-icons-ipad9940e50c/ipados)

Bike workout?
Biking directions?
Something from Focus?
Talking about this (as example)? iOS 16b3Is it me or you cannot mention a contact in Messages (yet)? Previously, you would write someone’s name, the name would turn grey, you tap on it, and the contact name would appear and then turn bold. It does not appear to be working with iOS 16 beta.
Exactly, I cannot figure out how. Type in the first name, nope. Type in the nickname, nope. Type @ before, nope.Talking about this (as example)?
Anyone can help with this? 😀What's the best wait to install the public beta?
I signed up in the apple program, but it's better to install by OTA, or there's a better way?
Anyone can help with this? 😀
Thanks for the hint.If you're new to this, “newbie” just keep it simple and use OTA for Public betas.
Thanks for the hint.
I don't remember anymore because the last beta i used was ios 14.
BUT!
I tought it was better with ipsw, but i will follow your hint. 🙂
Seems fine here on beta 3
Public Beta only has the OTA option, no? I didn’t think Apple ever offered an IPSW for the Public Betas. If you're new to this, “newbie” just keep it simple and use OTA for Public betas.
Public Betas are the same build numbers as the correspondng Developer Beta, however to my understanding the IPSW for the Beta is only officially supported with a developer account.Public Beta only has the OTA option, no? I didn’t think Apple ever offered an IPSW for the Public Betas.

Let them use TipsWithout doing a ground-up rewrite, iOS is only going to get more convoluted with more and more “convenience” features unknown to the general population.
Tips is a good resource but how many folks do you think even know that’s available?
