iOS 16 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I know she does that on our HomePods. I can't remember hearing anything on the phone, but it may have been in silent. She definitely does the lower pitch gong on CarPlay.
Hilton App with take FaceID but then stay on the Log In/Join screen. Somehow when I swiped back and forth to another app and back, it got in but I'm not sure how and will need to test another time to see if I can replicate
I am usually a creature of habit.
Mornings I get up, collect my 13 ProMax from stand, my iPad Pro and OnePlus 9 Pro and head downstairs.
Something "new" on my 13 ProMax since beta 4.
All devices are screen off but if my 13PM gets close (less than 1/2") to my OnePlus I get the "Confirm with Passcode - Your Passcode is required to open Wallet" on my 13PM lockscreen.
OnePlus is running Android 11 (12 really sucks on the 9 Pro) and no changes there.
Anyone have an idea why?

Is the new peer to peer payment NFC functionality getting horked from the OnePlus’ proximity?
Not sure when it changed - but I was used to unlock the screen orientation to watch videos in landscape automatically. When unlocked when I tilted towards the side where the FaceID is (top of the phone), the video didn’t went portrait, whatever inclination I had. The video turned portrait when I tilted only towards the bottom of the phone. Now it goes portrait both sides. Watching videos in landscape in bed is not comfortable anymore…

This has only popped up since updating to beta 4 and this feature came with iOS13 I thought.
Maybe b4 broke something.
Want to test this with the wife's Flip 3 on Android 12 when she gets home.
Here the weather app is a miss too, it almost always gives a -1 degree of the actual temperature, in other apps or sites in the city (Düsseldorf) says other, if it rains not even 20 minutes later shows that is raining (reported at start), so hope it gets better.

I woke up this morning and did my usual Siri good morning shortcut and, in addition to turning on the lights, she announces the weather conditions as 16C and Clear. Yay. When my brain fog cleared I could hear it was pouring rain outside. Ya just a little inaccurate!
I use to be huge in the betas a few years back, every year running every beta from 1 forward.
Eventually I decided I was sick of the random non stop bugs and stopped installing, I’ve really been itching to get back into it through, would anyone recommend using iOS 16 on a daily driver if my goal is only ‘occasional’ annoyances.

That’s tough because everybody’s phone runs different. The 1st public beta had very few bugs for me and I was using it everyday without issues. I had one respring after install but it was smooth.
Second PB was a complete mess for me, while others are stable. The tap to wake was the most annoying for me and is what caused me to revert back to 15.6.
IP 13 specific maybe 🤷🏽♂️
Not had one yet on iOS 16 - using IP12 | IPSW files all the way baby.
I’m on 13PM and haven’t had a respiring what so ever. Only issue I’ve had was lock screen rotated upside down a few times
The weather app is trash... a tropical storm could park over my house and the next day the weather app will swear there was no rainfall.
Plus I have always hated/despised the "blob" representation of precipitin on the radar map..
It may be worse because betas are not necessarily designed to be a progression from bad to good.
It's much improved here (Switzerland). To the point I think I won't renew my Carrot sub...
IPSW here as well, but still seeing this on the 13PM. Also seeing a lot of background usage for Mail. Don't want to reset settings this close to the next beta..
I actually noticed this today when I was trying to send pictures, it refused to work for me
App specifically I use Wyze for 2 lights in my bedroom, with the latest update when I turn the lights off only one turns off, then I have to turn them both back on, and then they both shut off. More than likely an app issue but only noticed it with the latest update
