iOS 16 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Just updated to the beta and noticed this new menu in the cellular settings. Not sure if it was on previous betas or posted already but it lets you change the APN settings. I’ve heard about this on androids but never seen it on iOS.

We had a farm and weather was of critical importance and the app rocked, then IBM replaced it with the ugly useless Storm Radar version that’s in the App Store today. The striped away everything useful with garbage useless eye candy.

If a weather app doesn’t have radar with high/low pressure systems, warm/cold/stationary fronts, and proper alertin, it doesn’t work for me. And I will pay a subscription.

Oooh man do I miss that app. I have yet to find one that’s as good as that one was

Many here forget that the beta process is not necessarily linear, as in the first beta is the buggiest and it only gets progressively better from there. The Apple engineers may be jiggering around with things and optimizing and de-optimizing other things as they finalize for final release. Stuff breaks as a result. Some intentionally and some not so. Just keep reporting issues.

There easily was more bugs, for me. I wasn’t even gonna update to this one because PB1 was so stable, then curiosity got the best of me. Plus what good is running a beta if you can’t do your part and report all the bugs you can? 😝 But it did make me revert to 15.6 over the weekend. Hope one comes this week and resolves some things. I’ll hop back on.

This has been available to many iPhones outside the US for some time. It’s not on my 12 Pro Max.

It looks like low light shots are problematic.
I am not getting as "bright" of a shot. Used to be almost like "enhanced" night vision and better than my eyes could see unaided. Now it is about the same as unaided eye sight.

Yes. This change occurred several betas ago. I really like it. Not as intrusive.

Anyone else having an issue with Photos? My photos are not downloading from cloud. I have reset, DFU, logged out. I see some of the thumbnails but when clicking on the thumbnail the pictures does not download from icloud. Weird that it hangs at the same number everytime.

Same here. Phone is also unbearably hot and laggy. Feels like my iPhone 3G at times.
 
Weather Widget - Moon Phases hasn't been available all day. I'm wondering if they're updating it since I reported it last week.

yea I tried one this morning and deleted it. it wasn't that great but I didn't report it. I just figured it was the light.

How is your phone making the Siri "beep"? Mine hasn't beeped on "Hey Siri" commands for a long time now. It just reacts silently and then says "Uh huh...?" if you dont give it a command

Terrible stability on this beta. Lock Screen not responsive to wake, music lagging when typing, unlocking, and using/opening some apps such as Apollo/twitter/messenger, volume slider not responsive, and soft crashes on lock screen at times. Not sure how they managed to make it worse, looking forward to the next beta soon. 13ProMax
