I’ve reinstalled the beta, multiple hard restarts… it’s a bug. Reported. IP12
You’re not alone, my 12.9 iPad Pro is the same. What was new to me was the the pop up feedback report loading a sysdiagnose file, this was my first installation of the 16 betas so I hadn’t seen this before, quite convenient. So far other than this and the fact you can’t choose an Apple wallpaper for the iPads I haven’t really seen any issues, but it’s only been a few days.

That would have def been a show stopper for me. Had I seen it prior, wouldn't have installed the beta. I upload pics of my daughter to the fam share daily. Good luck man!

Killing the Music app and hitting play fix it

Just installed this version, first iOS 16 for me on my iPad Pro and I noticed that wallpaper cannot be selected under Dynamic and Stills. Tapping either of those gets no response. My photos/albums listed below are all fully selectable. Is that a known issue or just a temporary state?
I see that as well. Maybe it will work later

Does anyone else have an issue that if you invoke Siri via Siri Eyes Free (connected to car via Bluetooth only and then invoke Siri via car button) - Siri does listen to you but there are no chimes / indications that she is listening.

There used to be a ding when invoked this way that indicated that she was ready for voice commands.

this is in my 2017 Honda Accord

Still seeing my 13ProMax screen dim constantly.
Does it do it when not on auto brightness? I’ve never liked @uto brightness myself as it seemed to dim at the wrong time. Thought it was super annoying. Battery life has been so good I can’t even burn thru it in a day anyway

Not sure, I keep it on auto brightness.

Don't know if this is an iOS thing or a beta thing but I'm trialing 4 different weather apps ATM to see which one I want to spend the money on and also works the best for me. All 4 of the widgets never seem to update the info, at least not at all often, temp in particular until I open the widget. So what the F... good is a widget that does not update properly? FWIW, I noticed this problem on the 15.x.x betas as well. I have location set to "always" and bluetooth is on. My biggest complaint with iPhone is the sucky widgets.

Pretty much all widgets are static. One thing I really wish Apple would change.
A 15 minute poll would be a great improvement.

That's strange.

I run Hello weather, BBC and MET office - all refresh automatically no issues. If one hasn't updated, if I leave it on screen for a few seconds, it'll refresh.

Remember, weather app developers have to pay for API calls, so they try to limit them. Limited API calls mean limited widget updates. That’s one reason Apple probably bought Dark Sky… so they’d be paying themselves for the data and not someone else.

Secondly, widgets are designed to refresh on a timeline the developer gives them, which means that may be the developers' issue not Apple’s.

Finally, we’re still in beta season, so it’s a bit unfair to expect anything to behave as it will post-public release. And the developers are not yet using iOS 16 APIs.

Improvement is on the way (for certain info categories). Live Activities.

It’s not a perfect solution but a step in the right direction.
