I just got a random sound notification (like an emergency notification), but without notification and the phone on silent, so weird. Is that or there is other electronic in a night stand that it has no way to be opened. (Or a ghost with a phone 🤣)
It happened to me and my husband a few months ago ( I’m still on iOS15 , too chicken to do betas ). I believed it was the new alert system in France that was testing. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I still don’t have the option to select a photo from my camera roll or astrology, they just disappeared after I did a fresh install 🤷🏽‍♂️ today suggested photos finally appeared but options like dynamic wallpaper of animals, nature etc r also missing.

The only thing I can choose is „emojis“ or „weather“

Reported it

You used to slide to pin contacts in messages. I thought they took it out last beta. Was this like this in the previous beta with the long press?

Remember, weather app developers have to pay for API calls, so they try to limit them. Limited API calls mean limited widget updates. That’s one reason Apple probably bought Dark Sky… so they’d be paying themselves for the data and not someone else.

Secondly, widgets are designed to refresh on a timeline the developer gives them, which means that may be the developers' issue not Apple’s.

Finally, we’re still in beta season, so it’s a bit unfair to expect anything to behave as it will post-public release. And the developers are not yet using iOS 16 APIs.
Thanks, some good info. Don’t know how android devs do it then as their widgets can be set to various refresh intervals. I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know it all😂
It’s not just the weather either, I use google calendar widget onscreen and when I make a change it won’t show up for quite awhile. I don’t tout one OS over another as I believe they both bring good things to the table but geezes if android can do it why can’t apple?

That's strange.

I run Hello weather, BBC and MET office - all refresh automatically no issues. If one hasn't updated, if I leave it on screen for a few seconds, it'll refresh.
It seems the weathers I keep on the Home Screen have trouble refreshing in a timely manner. More often than not anyway. The two weathers I keep on the left screen or widget page don’t refresh till I either open them or just open that page and wait for awhile. Quicker to open them😂
Haven’t tried the ones you mention.

As a 60-year-old technophile, I worry about ideas like this. The tiny digits aren't easy to read for these eyes, and adding clutter and decreasing the contrast in that icon will make it nearly impossible. What you've posted here shows up (at least on my MBA) nearly twice the size of how they appear IRL on an iPhone.
Yes every screenshot I can read it fine, but not on my 13PM in real life

Reset my iPhone just to start over fresh and see if it would fix a few very minor issues I was having and in Safari settings all of my favorites options have disappeared. Very strange. 🤔
I had some major issues with Safari bookmarks syncing when I updated this last time. They wiped and then when I tried to get them back by reloading them all on my MacBook they all appeared on my iPhone as totally blank favorites. Every time I did this they would duplicate too and none of them would delete no matter if I tried on my iPhone or Mac. Seemed like the sync state was very confused.

I fixed it after a few rounds of these steps:
1. In Safari on your Mac, export your bookmarks to an HTML file (File > Export is the path I believe)
2. In iCloud settings on your iPhone, turn off the Safari option for "Apps using iCloud" and choose to delete data
3. In Safari on your Mac, edit your bookmarks and delete them all
4. Wait a few minutes to see if they come back; you may need to delete them a few times
5. In iCloud settings on your Mac, turn off the Safari option in a similar manner you did for your iPhone
6. I completely closed Safari on my Mac and iPhone at this point, waited a few minutes, and then opened them again
7. Make sure both devices still have no bookmarks in Safari
8. In Safari on your Mac, import your bookmarks from the HTML file and then move them into your desired location
9. In iCloud settings on your Mac, turn back on the Safari option and wait a few minutes to see if they stay correct
10. In iCloud settings on your iPhone, turn back on the Safari option for "Apps using iCloud" and choose to merge
11. Hopefully your bookmarks reappear on your iPhone and now sync properly again

I had to do the "turn off, delete, import, turn on" cycle twice before everything worked. I see you have an iPad also so you may need to include that device in the steps when turning the option off and on for Safari in iCloud; I'd just turn the option off on the iPad at the same time as the iPhone, but wait to turn it back on until your Mac and iPhone are syncing.

Hey guys, I still haven’t turned on Private Relay yet, as it’s still in beta, but, how is it these days this far into 16? Still buggy?
I haven’t a problem at all even though it’s in beta. It’s been working great.

iOS’ battery optimization is pretty darn good. I’ve been running pretty much all betas except for a few times and my battery health is still 💯. I’ve never had an iPhone where the battery is still 100% after 11 months.

I’ve been a huge fan of it but it seems to have gotten buggier lately. Very slow to the point of being non-functional at times. Had to turn it off.
