I just realized there is an Edit option in Wi-Fi settings to manage known and managed networks. Was this there before?

Ive been having issues with at least the past couple betas where the person on the other end of a facetime audio call can't hear me when I call them or answer their call, I can hear them just fine. Anyone else having this?

iOS’ battery optimization is pretty darn good. I’ve been running pretty much all betas except for a few times and my battery health is still 💯. I’ve never had an iPhone where the battery is still 100% after 11 months.
That’s insane. Mine dropped 2% since I installed the beta!

Anyone in the UK with Nationwide banking notice how long it takes to open/log in on iOS 16 as opposed to 15?

Compared with my wife’s phone which is on 15 the other night and there’s a good 20 seconds difference. Hers opens instantly.

Hope that’s fixed with an update!

Are you sure you aren't in some sort of "focus mode" that is delaying notifications or do you have the notifications set to only update at certain times of the day?

I only see that posters described beheavioir when a focus is on. Outside of focus, it’s showing without swiping up. Though maybe that’s only when 1 notification and nothing playing in music. I’ll keep an eye.

😆😂 yeah coz C is so easy to read and doesn’t jar your eyes at all. Glad you don’t work at Apple or I would switch to Android 😆😂
Yea haha. Those options were hurting my eyes. I’ll stick with how it is in the current beta.

Yep - since the first or second beta it sits for ages on "Establishing secure connection".

I like to think that it flags up "iOS 16? WTF is that?" and someone at Nationwide has to click "bloody beta users - it's ok, let them log in".

At least we're not HSBC customers.

Yeah, that's it! Pain in the arse... Especially as I have only just swtiched to Nationwide haha

I have reported it, anyhow

Standby battery life is also important. Nothing worse than having your phone draining its battery fast when it's just sitting there, without you using it.

Yeah but draining 25% in 9 hours on standby is not super battery life (I’m ignoring the one hour of heavier usage between 6 and 7pm in the screen grab). That implies total standby time of roughly 36 hours. 50+ hours is more the norm with 70+ not being unusual.

Calling all:

Hey guys, I still haven’t turned on Private Relay yet, as it’s still in beta, but, how is it these days this far into 16? Still buggy?

I use it sparingly in iOS/iPadOS 15.6 and it works quite well for me with most sites. In fact, if I forget to turn it off, I can still browse without feeling a speed difference or any particular lag. But then I do not do anything time-crucial in Safari, so YMMV. 🤚

I still didn't update to IOS 16 beta version Is it safe to do it?

It is working relatively well for the vast majority, but you should 100% be prepared to face random issues like reduced battery life, overheating, app crashes, UI bugs, certain apps not working (especially banking apps), etc.

There's no way of knowing exactly how many or how few bugs will affect you after you upgrade, but it's not been an absolute trainwreck for people here. In any case, read through the thread to understand more specifically the kinds of issues we've been facing and make sure to take a complete back-up of your phone following the exact steps given by Apple so you can do a system restore in case of any major issues.

Good luck and keep us posted! 😄

In iOS 15? No. In iOS 16 first beta? Yes.

However, until around the 3rd beta it only allowed you to delete one network at a time, despite offering a way to select multiple. Now, it works as expected.

Do they use a different weather source for Europe in iOS 16 cuz this is quite a difference in weather forecast for next week haha.

I’m wondering if this happens to anyone else as well… as you can see in the screenshot everything on HS is blurry on my 13PM. This usually happens when I exit out of apps, and only way to fix this is to power off/on the phone. Anyone have an idea as to why this could be happening?
