Well documented and still not fixed. Maybe next time…

So I was doing some tinkering and it turns out the Lock Screen music player jittering only happens when your lock screen has widgets under the time display.

If you take out all the widgets and then minimise/maximise the album art, the music player does not bounce at all.

Yup that’s exactly right. Brandon Butch discovered this bug (well, mentioned it first I believe) in one of his videos from the very first betas! It does make you wonder if Apple will fix it…

I’ve done all the right things the last few years and my battery health still takes a dive during the beta period/last 3 months before the phone turns 1. I’m not convinced it’s the beta although it could be, but I’m leaning more towards the design of the battery.

Unless you’re actually noticing the battery health deterioration being reflected in your everyday battery life don’t sweat it.

Without dedicated hardware you can’t accurately measure battery health so it’s always going to be an estimate that fluctuates constantly and Apple is often updating their algorithms to bring the “estimate” closer to actual capacity. That’s why you see Coconut Battery reporting higher battery health sometimes as time passes. So just enjoy your device as intended and don’t fret about battery health unless you actually notice a significant degradation in your everyday battery life. Remember that as new features are being added to the OS decreased battery life is normal but wouldn’t be noticeable.

Yesir, understood. I don’t fret about it. The 13pro still has really good battery life even after it’s aged. I was just adding my two cents to someone else a few posts ago.

May already be in here but a search didn’t find it …

13 ProMax
AirPods Pro - Siri

With this beta Siri does not announce incoming messages.
Tried it this morning by having my kids send some texts - iMessage and SMS. Neither triggered APP/Siri.

Reported via Feedback.

ios 16 pb 4
Battery percentage did not increase while charging. Before I report this as a bug I thought I'd check here to see if it was just a one off.

Charging seemed normal for the first couple days after installing PB4 (from PB3). But the other day when I placed the phone on charge at 79%, the wall wart and the phone got mildly warm as if it was charging but the battery percentage never increased over maybe 15 minutes. I finally rebooted the phone and the battery percentage increased to 82% and continued to increase normally. Subsequent charges are normal.

And in case you are wondering, optimized charging is disabled.

Anyone else?

Not a bug but Optimized Battery Charging is working really well for me now, better than it was in iOS 15.

I now charges to full closer to my wake-up time. Before, it would charge up to full at 3-4am, no matter what.

Try updating to PB5, might solve it?

I'm getting pretty bad battery life on my 13PM as well.

My 13 has never worked properly when charging using battery optimization. Always by 3am it is full. Googled some info and found only thing I haven’t tried is turn BO off then on again. I’ll see what happens tonite but not to optimistic. My pixel does this perfectly.

Very sorry... I am in fact on PB5. The latest. Kinda hard to keep track of what the beta number is when people refer to DB and PB and the numbers are different and don't actually appear in the ABOUT screen.... but yes, I am on the latest beta and this behavior seems new to PB5.

The latest iOS Public Beta and the latest Developer Beta for the iPhone are both 16.0 (20A5356a) and show as such in About.

My 13 pro max, got it on launch day…..

In some previous iOS version, I had to turn off OB, reboot and then turn it back on to get it working. Took about a week to kick in.

This time, I didn't have to do anything and it just started working correctly.

I see. Was it resolved by your reboot? It could have been a one-off flick. If it continues, do report it to Apple.

Rearranging icons on the homescreen by dragging around to create folders is so messed up in this beta

So far, yes it has resolved it. I would report it anyway because it should not have happened in the first place. But since I can't submit an accompanying system snapshot, I doubt it would be very useful.

I had it happening at some point in the past with iOS 13. It was a nuisance, but then got resolved with the iOS update.

I still have not gotten used to the new Siri sound on CarPlay. Every time it makes this soft DONG, I feel like my car is telling me „error“ 😅
Are you sure it’s not donging while you’re driving off the road? Perhaps it’s warning you as a coincidence 😂

Nope, they changed the "Siri activated" sound and when I say "Siri, play xy on Spotify". It does a weird DONG sound like an error message on a frozen Microsoft Windows "window". I prefer the previous sound.
