I HATE that you can’t quickly voice note in iMessage anymore. You have to open the app drawer and then the interface itself sucks. Cmon apple that’s a step back!
For some reason, adding extra clicks is the new thing Apple is doing. Same as the "share" options in MacOS Ventura.

As more features get added and are hidden or otherwise provided without good documentation (hello Stage Manager!) we'll end up with functions like the 3D-Touch issue where no-one uses it, developers don't code for it, and it gets dropped.

(Who's still using Back Tap? Mine kept being triggered each time I put my phone down, so I disabled it pretty quickly.)

Seems like AMEX Apple Pay doesn't work entirely now - I'm in the UK.

Removed card and just tried to re add but it wont let me. Have just added card successfully to another iPhone ruining iOS 15.

My Swiss AmEx never left the Wallet but just stopped working (threw a generic error at every tap-to-pay terminal). The physical card worked. I've deleted it and re-added it, but have yet to test it again.

I removed mine but then it took a couple of confirmation tries, but eventually re-added ok - UK

Some apps are no longer grouping together in notifications, especially the Mail app. I have it set to automatic, just like all my other apps, but when several new emails come in, some group and some don't. Is anyone else seeing this?

Is it just me or does the Lock Screen music player bounce a bit too much when minimising/maximising the album art, even on the latest beta?

I'm testing the latest Public Beta on an iPhone 8, so curious to hear if people with newer & larger iPhones have the same problem.

Oh boy, Apple broke cameras in HomeKit again.

I’m so thrilled that me having my Apple Watch on and my iPhone in had, on my wifi, is causing me to get alerts and recorded every 5-10 seconds.

Well documented and still not fixed. Maybe next time…

That’s unfortunate. I’ve submitted feedback regarding this with almost every beta and it does seem to be a relatively prevalent issue. Still no fix in sight though. Pretty strange.

Not sure if its a T-Mobile thing or the latest beTa. My 13pm goes from LTE ,5G, 5Guc then to LTE and repeats the pattern only if I walk 100 feet around the house or at the office. Wont stay connected to a band, on WI-FI it will stay Wi-Fi for a bit but sometimes goes to 5G then back to Wi-Fi , I have reset my phone that magical three times and still does it ..🤔

According to Apple's website regarding weather app, these are their sources.
You don‘t know that. Support docs usually don‘t get their update for new releases until the public release hits. It‘s why many support articles (like Shared Photo Library) lead to not found pages.

Chances are that‘s the setup for iOS 15 and below.

It should be evident by now that Apple is using their Dark Sky acquisition in iOS 16 now since non-US countries also get all of the previously US exclusive features (like notifications). That explains the differences.

2 months of wondering why I wasn’t getting banner notifications and app icon badges on the mail app on my phone but it was working fine on my iPad and I FINALLY compared the settings app on my phone to my iPad. Banner notification and badges are completely missing from the page on my phone but are there on my iPad.

This is what happens when you look but don’t pay attention to what you’re looking at…because I’ve checked the settings before…but didn’t compare them side by side 🤦‍♂️

If the setting wasn’t on EITHER device, I’d think it was maybe an intentional change. But it’s still on one. I’ve caught a lot of small little bugs throughout these betas and then I miss this glaringly obvious one 🤦‍♂️

🙄🙄🙄🙄

(The one in the preview is actually correct, I do have two lights on)

I’d try reverting. Hopefully that does the trick. No guarantees but fingers crossed.

Did you buy the phone new?

Hi,

Unfortunately, reverting back to iOS 15 did not help at all: the message showed up immediately after I started using iOS 15.
I also tried using the Camera app again and surprise: it fails!
The x3 optical zoom refuses to launch using the Photo feature, if using Video then it triggers the x2 without letting me choose any other possibility and using Portrait mode it will trigger the x3 zoom by default without letting me choose either.
Thus I can conclude that all lenses are working as expected but a bug would prevent the app from switching from one to another using Camera features (?) hence triggering the Unknown Part message.

I seriously doubt iOS 16 would be the cause of that issue but then I don't really understand what caused it.

I think “You don’t know that” is a rather aggressive reply to someone who has actually done their research.

Also Dark Sky is not a source. Dark Sky use their methodology to interpret other sources. They don’t have their own satellites or weather stations.

That whole settings page for Mail notifications is confusing as heck. the Customize option should not be a separate menu.

This sounds like a hardware issue, to be sure. Sorry that didn’t help. I’d take it in. Keep it on iOS 15.6 so the Apple Store will look at it.

Aggressive perhaps but true nonetheless. Apple does not update the background info pages on the various apps until full release. So @TimFl said the poster “doesn’t know that” (meaning it is still open to question) as opposed to “that’s wrong” which implies the matter is fully settled.

Indeed! All the other apps follow the same logic and suddenly for Mail it is different. I reset my iPhone a while ago and also wondered why I am not receiving noticiations on my Lockscreen, even though everything seemed enabled until I noticed this additional „customize notifications“ at the very bottom. At least put the customize notifications part right below the alerts section.

Interesting to see that you have the option for Banner notifications, banner styles, and Badges there. That’s exactly what I’m MISSING on my phone. On my iPad…that’s all there. Phone…nope. That is screaming “bug” to me.

Yep, updating my feedback on that one!
