I’m wondering if they’ll split the 16.1 betas like that? Very confusing. I could see them holding beta 2 for iPad until phone can catch up. Or maybe they’ll go straight to beta 2 on the Phone.

Uncharted waters here, for sure!

Agreed, hard to predict! I was wondering a while ago about the possibility of releasing a unifying 16.1 build across both platforms and just bumping the iOS beta number to 2, like you stated. But if the count were different it certainly wouldn’t be the first time different platforms were out of sync.

Apple always saves some inventory for stores.. check your local stores if you are near one on Friday... You might get lucky.

I am stuck working ferry boats here on Lake Michigan, sadly hours away from an Apple Store. Closest would be in Milwaukee, I believe. But thank you for the advice.

ugh, sorry to hear that man. hopefully you get lucky and your estimated date gets pushed up.. that's been known to happen as well.... It should help that you got the silver, I think that's the least popular color according to all of the polls I've seen. I too got the silver this year by the way.. I usually get the special color but wasn't feeling the purple this year... The silver looks so nice and clean so I went for that one.

Makes sense right to go straight to beta 2. But they will probably throw us a curve ball and sync up on a Friday after 8 days since the last beta or something.

Come on 16.1 distract me from this Covid. I’ve got the time to do some serious testing on you now.

Pearlet doesn’t have it, thank god. I’m walking around the house with a mask and marigold washing up gloves on. They do not work when typing on an iPhone FYI. But maybe would have with the new Ultra watch 😆

Could have warned me about my temperature too 😅.

Door County, Wisconsin; the ferry line traverses the waters between the northern tip of the Door Peninsula and Washington Island (where I live). The passage is known historically as Death’s Door, originally in French—Porte des Morts. Don’t let the rather grim-sounding name fool you, though; it’s quite a beautiful area and perfect for a summertime visit!
