Just speculating! It seems odd that Apple would wait too long to realign all phones on the same build number. 9 builds is not a tiny amount of updates.

If not a modified 15.0.1 for all on Friday, and not a 15.0.2 for all on Friday, then I think we'll still see a 15.0.2 pretty quick. 15.1 isn't coming before end of Oct.
You mean iOS 16.x.x i hope. 😁

I disagree. We’ve seen it many times where the release an update that is only for certain phones & this is likely one of those times. We’ll see another release in a week or 2 for all devices after the 14 Only update, though.
Fair, but I think it'll be one week max from this Friday.

Off hand, I think one of the last times it was 2-3 weeks or so, but there were instances of a week. Apple won't have a set rule that you cannot have some devices on a different build for a maximum number of time.

For example: iOS 15.1.1 was only for iPhone 12 & 13 on November 17th, and the next release to bring all devices in sync was 15.2 on December 13th.

iOS 14.2.1 was only for iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max on November 19th and then next common release was iOS 14.3 on December 13th. There's more, but that will do :)

I only had a minute before work, but there’s more examples of longer than a week, if we go back through more previous versions.

I’m not saying we won’t get it within a week or so, but just saying we cannot explicitly state Apple won’t wait more than a week.

Lol I don’t think we can safely say Apple will do anything any more. Sometimes I think they like being unpredictable to mess with us.

The OTA files for the new phones have been posted online, though, including iOS 16.0.1 build 20A371

Will be helpful to just restore the phone from Finder before even beginning setup.

Aparently you can just plug your 14 in to finder, select your 16.1 back up, it will then prompt you to download the 16.1 beta before it installs your 16.1 back up.

Got to be a release next week to fix the bugs with iPhone 14 pros such as slow camera app. It’s awful. Not all phones impacted.

I reluctantly upgraded to 16.0 to take advantage of the new features but so far so good. No bugs after about 5 days of regular use. I haven’t tested everything yet though.
