I was kind of confused by his response...saying that he is having a GPS issue on 16.0??

As far as I know, GPS issue is limited to iP14's only, and only those on the 16.1 betas, correct?

btw...not experiencing any of those issues on my 14 Pro Max on 16.1...
Not sure who you’re referencing here, but I’m on 16.0.1 and my iP14PM is having a major GPS bug. Among other issues…

Sorry...I thought it was widely reported on here that 16.1 causes the GPS issue on 14's only...
Yeah, that's what I've read, too. Although, considering all of the problems people are having, it's not surprising when blame quickly gets put on a Beta Release. Heck, I was planning on trying the beta to see if that fixed some of my issues, considering I know it won't fix my Maps app issue, maybe it'll fix my Music app issue 😆

We'll see how the days pan out.. But considering all of the current issues, I'd speculate the possibility of a 16.0.2 release before 16.1 is out.

I have a 14 PM and am on 16.0.1. No issues. I suspect it is the beta or we’d be reading about this in places more widespread than this forum. It’s probably a combo of the beta with the new hardware.

I’m not on a beta. I’m running 16.0.1 on an iPhone 14 Pro Max. And I’m absolutely seeing other tech blog sites reporting all of these same issues here on MacRumors.

I think we will see the second beta of ios 16.1 this week, and I would not rule out an ios 16.0.2 to solve urgent problems both in the iphone 14 and previous models, although the most serious are the 14 apparently.

Joe Rossignol just tweeted vegas odds on ios 16.0.2 would be pretty dang low right now

so i guess expect nothing this week

That sounds like a 16.0.2 update. And yes sounds like that’s next week.

I do hold out some hope for a second beta of 16.1 though. That’s probably on the fast track to be complete by very late October or early November to coincide with the iPad event/release. Depends on how many betas they want to run. If it’s 5 or 6, they can skip this week. But if they want 7 or 8, they’ll have to release this week.

Unless apple really wants to push their promised October release for 16.1 to the 31st, I’m expecting a new beta this week which will give us about 6/7 betas.
