I just have this funny feeling we won't see a 16.0.2 till potentially next week.

Mark Gurman said there will be a fix for the camera issues next week.

That should be 16.0.2, hopefully sooner, and hope the fix gets to 16.1b2 first.

That sounds like a 16.0.2 update. And yes sounds like that’s next week.

I do hold out some hope for a second beta of 16.1 though. That’s probably on the fast track to be complete by very late October or early November to coincide with the iPad event/release. Depends on how many betas they want to run. If it’s 5 or 6, they can skip this week. But if they want 7 or 8, they’ll have to release this week.

Based on the status of Stage Manager,

They probably need another 20 betas

Of course there’s the possibility that 16.1 is on the fast track and we will get a public release in very early October and 16.2 will be the iPad release. We’ll likely be able to discern that if they reverse the next beta this week.

They have tended to get these early point releases out quickly these past few years.

Not yet; I wasn’t sure if it was something hosed for me or not, since others responded here that they were experiencing it.

I’m asking now so that if I have to do something nuts like forcing an ipsw update to 16.0, that I have time to do it.

The server side issue was fixed and update status should be shown. Ie up to date or update available.

Because beta 1 is so bad that I was checking yesterday around drop time.

Normally, it doesn’t return an error if there isn’t an update. So now I’m concerned that I won’t be able to update via OTA when beta 2 arrives today.

And hoping for a new beta today or tomorrow, although there’s still a possibility to be on a 2-week cycle.

That’s my biggest issue also. Understand it’s a beta and I can live with it, but it would be nice to see it fixed.
