Underwhelming to say the least.

Yes, the Lockscreen, iMessage and shared Family Photo Album is nice, but what about the home screen? Camera features such as pro settings? Battery percentage on the home screen? So many features have been left out yet again.

If this comes out this year it'll be with the redesigned iPhone. Don't forget some features of the new iOS are sometimes held back for the unannounced hardware.

And support dropped for the SE 1, 6S and 7, but iPad OS support for the iPad 5th gen which was basically just a scaled up 6S (A9 and 2GB of ram....) - doesn't make a lot of sense.

Oh for sure, in typical Apple fashion, you'll need to upgrade to the iPhone 14 to get your battery percentage back 🤣

It looks like most of the highlighted features require an A12 chip or newer, except for Live Captions which requires an A13 on iPhone and A12 on iPad. My best guess is this could be a battery thing.
