Gurman and co. said that they‘ll do PB with DB3 due to „bugs & stability issues“. Seems far fetched cause the beta seems pretty stable already.
I doubt it as well. They have released PB a few years ago with far too many bugs, even when the GPS was broken.

But what frustrates me is people keep saying things pretending they are experienced in the beta process and they keep saying that usually PB3 comes after DP2, which was never the case.

we will see the beta 3 for developers next week almost certainly, what surprises me is that the second beta is being signed by apple, being able to install it via ipsw with 3utools without problems in windows. Does this mean that the first public beta is the second for developers? I don't know, but it seems strange to me that they sign the second beta and not the first, because in principle, until the public beta, only developers have access to what is necessary to install it via ipsw and only on Mac.

Well, its MANY years since it worked like that... All you have to do is to get the beta profile for developer beta. And EVERYONE can install that from DP1

I wonder if they'll do a repeat of last year and seed a revised beta 2 today, and the first public beta tomorrow.

I still wonder why they didn't just call that beta 3 last year.

It’d be nice to have a b3 today and a b4 in 2 weeks to go along with the pb1. I doubt we’ll see a release next week.

Monday is a US Holiday :)
And what does that affect?

It won't affect a Friday (07/01) release, but it's also doubtful that DP3 comes out this week.
It would affect a Monday (07/04) release, but a Monday release is also unusual this early in the cycle.
It won't affect a Tuesday (07/05) or later release, as Apple has the schedule laid out well in advance. There is NO situation where someone at Apple says "well, crap, we were going to release Monday, but we just realized it's a national holiday".

Apple is neck deep in releasing betas for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS every year at this time. It's not their first rodeo... so no worries... I expect DP3/public beta sometime next week, the Independence Day holiday notwithstanding.

Highly doubtful that they would release a beta on a Friday before a major national holiday when a lot of Apple employees take extra time off for vacation. For that matter I don’t think we’ll see a beta until the week of the 11th. Just my opinion.

It'll be two weeks and most likely the 6th I think. It's always two weeks until late in the game when releases come weekly...

Employee vacation schedules have very little to do with how and when Apple releases the betas... the release schedule has been set for quite a while... and barring a major SNAFU with a particular release, Apple will not vary from that schedule. It's incredibly more likely that Apple limits vacation time for key areas during the annual (major) beta release cycle than it is that Apple modifies the release schedule based on employee vacation schedules.

No sooner than Wednesday next week…with July 4th on a Monday it’s likely many people took today off for a 4 day weekend.
