I would assume next week early at some point, yeah. What I've found over time is that we generally sit on the last update for maybe two weeks or so before the RC is released, and then there's been times where a 2nd RC is warranted and released later in the week after the Apple Event, like on a Thursday or Friday even sometimes. The RC should have all of the Logging and extra Developer/Beta stuff removed, and then time needs to pass with enough people using it to ensure there's no 'Gotcha' issues like Memory Leaks or something. Sometimes bugs aren't found right away because it might take days and days to happen.

But yeah, I'd say next Monday is a good bet.

The one caveat relates to when the new phones ship. If for some reason they shipped for arrival later than next Friday (9/16), we might not see the public release early next week. Not likely but certainly possible.

I do expect to see the public release on Monday/Tuesday next week subject to the above.

In any event, Tim Cook will tell us when it will drop during the iPhone keynote. So, by 3pm tomorrow, it will no longer be a mystery.

If there was going to be anything posted today, I would say macOS and maybe iPadOS (since they're both behind a build or two), but definitely not an iOS RC — Apple has posted those the day of the event every year for more than 10 years.

Might as well wait until after work tomorrow, or I'l just wind up seeing some abysmal download time, or that error about not being connected to the Internet, even though everything else on the Internet is working, and I'll start yelling at the iPhone :D

MacOS won't come out with iOS. In the last few years, it's come out in October (one year was November).
This is what I don't understand. macOS is my no. 1 system where I spent most of the time. There are M1 and M2 chips, so I expected they put more love in macOS and put its release more priority.

Well, actually, it makes sense because it is released usually around together with the presentation of the new Mac Computers.
But, if you wish to get new OS earlier, then you can always install Public Beta version, if you can work with some bugs, that can appear, otherwise - wait for final release to the public and enjoy your current OS.

Really hope there’s a RC today or at least another beta revision, the repeated device crashes I’m STILL experiencing on my 11 Pro Max are unbearable. I get the feeling even the final release is going to be a bug ridden unstable mess. This is by far the worst iOS has ever been

Which is the best time to remove the beta profile....before or after da RC ?

Assuming the RC is equal to the final version..

The RC release is part of the beta programme so keep the beta profile on the phone. Once the profile is removed your phone will only see official releases.
