Except Google Maps is flooded with shops and adds so whenever you click anywhere you’re likely to hit some restaurant or shop and it will open up info about that place you then need to hide. Sometimes I actually just want to go to some address instead some random business that payed most to be on top.Oh and the ability to uninstall Maps. After this many years I think it's safe to say it will never catch up to Google maps.
Still nowhere near as fast as, for example, selecting multiple text messages and deleting all at once.Or just swipe left to delete them…

Real automations! That's what I really want. No not the lame ones Apple gave us that still require you to tap on the notification, unlock your iPhone, then tap on "Run" in order to run the automation. That's called "doing things manually". Automations run by themselves without any interaction, hence the prefix "auto-".
>zero improvementSearch functionality in Messages is an abomination of both iOS and MacOS. Why can't I search a single user's thread - and have to search all messages? Why can't I specify a date range to search in? Why have we had over a decade of messages and there's been zero improvement here????????????????????
I would much rather use Apple Maps than Google Maps. Neither app is perfect and can cause occasional problems for some people. It likely varies from place to place. Both are overall about equal functionally. I prefer the better integration of Apple Maps.Real automations! That's what I really want. And the return to the old style "do not disturb" instead of this absolute mess of "Focus" "Do not disturb" and "Bed time" (which needs to be set up in the Clock app unlike all the other "focus"-es that need to be set up in Settings) and whatever stupid submenus after submenus you have to dig through just to silence the damned phone.
Oh and system-wide landscape mode. When you're watching something in landscape mode and you have to quickly exit and check something then everything is suddenly tilted the wrong way. The iPad can do it, the ridiculously large iPhone can do it, why not the regular iPhone?

If they make it so easy to delete, then I hope they add a trash can feature so you can undelete the contacts you swiped away by accident. I guess I just don’t delete very often so am not bothered by an extra step to delete.I think the poster was saying it would also be nice to finally be able to swipe left to delete a contact rather than having to tap edit, and scrolling all the way to the bottom for the delete button.
Not quite sure what you mean by this one as I can paste a number into the dialler and dial it..?Phone -- It's been 15 years since Apple re-invented the phone. Why can't I just paste a phone number into the field and dial? Other apps can do it on the iPhone. I prefer not to make phone calls, but when I have to, using the Phone app is like having to go into a phone booth.
the paradigm for translation is that you type the text in messages, select All , the choose translate. Not that intuitive though!Translate -- I just need to type a couple of paragraphs and send the translation to Messages. Takes me a fraction of the time in Google Translate as it does here due to the interface, because "copy" and "share" buttons are front and center. I do not need the dictionary to pop up every time I touch a word. This app needs a re-think.
I’d like Music App to feature Repeat option with a drop down selection showing Repeat Hourly / Daily / Weekly / Monthly.
There's just over a week to go until the 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference, which is one of the biggest Apple events of the year. We've heard surprisingly little about iOS 16 this year, so we're in for some major surprises when June 6 rolls around.

In years past, we've had early versions of iOS leak out, giving us a fairly good idea of what to expect. That's not the case this year, and we only have a few details on what could be included in iOS 16.
The iPhone 14 Pro models won't have a standard notch, which means we could see some minor design changes, and there are rumors about Health app improvements, such as a medicine management tool.
Unspecified notification updates are in the works, and we could see emergency satellite messaging features and updates related to car crash detection. iPadOS 16 might be getting new multitasking features, and we could also see support for services that Apple is working on, such as a hardware subscription service.
You can read a bit more about what might be coming in our dedicated iOS 16 roundup.
