I won't pick on the update badge/reminder specifically, but would like to see some sort of clear all badges/reminders or to clear them from an individual app without having to open it.
When you add a contact and you're asked if you'd like to update their name and/or photo with what they use, I'd like to also like to have an option to hear their chosen text/ring tone for when they call/text.
New and smoother sounds and haptics that gives you that premium feel. I really dislike the notifications sound.
possibility to customize the « silent switch button » on the iPhone . I will use it more if Apple give me the possibility to assign two focus mode profite to it instead of just volume on/off

I miss the Haptic Feedback/3D Touch. No idea why Apple decided to make changes to the Taptic Engine. Wish, Apple could bring it back.

Can I put a vote in for iPhone to iPhone contact sharing? It's 2022 and I still have to hand off my phone to have people punch in numbers and crikey, we had seamless contact sharing back in the Palm Pilot days.
I would welcome side loading especially for my 6S which Apple will not support anymore, which means Safari would not get any updates. I intend to use the 6S for another 3 years while waiting for iOS to improve, to get features and improvements that I expect a smartphone OS should have.
- Bring back skeuomorphic design last seen in iOS 6 and OS X Mavericks
- Apple calculator app for iPad
- Bring back the ability to clear data without having to uninstall the app
- Always On Display even for LCD iPhones
- Revert to iOS 12/iOS 13 UI if they cannot go back to skeuomorphic design
- Show the list of significant locations like in iOS 14 and older and not just the most recent location
- Allow apps like Battery Life to access real time battery info
- Allow user to select home screen layout: icons only [iOS 13 and older] or icons and widgets [iOS 14 and iOS 15] or widgets only
- Drop/remove App Library
- Not really a feature but allow users to downgrade permanently
The two main things I would ask for are AI improvements for photos and improvements for Siri. When I search something simple in photos like dog, it finds some dog photos but misses many of them. I cant go through (could but dont want to) all 25k photos and tag them but that is a lot of work. I would like to see better search results so I can find that photo quicker. Siri updates everyone wants. I guess I ask complicated questions because the number of times I have heard “I cant get that on iPad” makes me limit my use to very simple tasks. Turn on a light. Set a timer. Those are helpful but I want to ask more complicated questions while talking to other humans in the car and see if I win the debate. Ha.

Not a fan of the always on screen. If they do that, hope they make better use of lockscreen
The ability for a user to selectively sync more settings across devices similar to how Focus works eg. Message settings, notifications. Inbuilt call screening like a Samsung SmartCall.

We will probably get some new Memojis & another useless app nobody uses.
Not exactly what you want , but "Stop Playing" under "When Timer Ends" (instead of a ringtone) will stop the audio from any app.
