Yes, PLEASE let me put my icons anywhere on the home screen. Making them all top-left oriented is a big pet peeve

2. Predicted words that appear on top of each letter typed, instead of on the top row (Blackberry had it at some point).

How would that work?

Exactly right. I'd love to see this for ALL of the Apple OSs:
  • Snow iOS
  • Snow Monterey
  • Snow iPad OS
  • Snow watchOS
  • Snow tvOS
...even for two years if it takes it. Get back to "just works" in everything. Imagine the joy in hardly ever finding a bug that affects use of Apple stuff. Imagine not having to simply "assume another bug" and hoping Apple will "eventually get to it."

Might that make for a boring WWDC or two? Maybe. But I sure wish I could spend much more time getting things done than trying to figure out ways around pesky bugs to then get things done.

This is my #1 dream. Great Apple software again would be such a nice thing

Please let us take better advantage of the big screen on the max phones.

I don’t even mean split screen. Just the ability to actually fit more icons on the home screen of a iPhone 13 PM compared to an iPhone 13 mini would be nice.

And the ability to have a smaller scaling for all apps the same way you can scale things larger.

Can't believe no-one's brought up multi-user support on the Pad ala fast user switching on the mac, have folk really become so conditioned to get a pad per person?

Use of / access siri whilst on a call would be good, or even complete overhaul to allow contextualised answers & do x,y & z - as it stands one thing at a time without shortcuts is annoying.

Home screen horizontal support and more horizontal support for included apps (and encouraging it for 3rd party apps, to approach parity with iPads). On larger iPhones when used with folding Bluetooth keyboard and stand, this would definitely be helpful. A large iPhone used that way is a pocket (large pocket, ok) alternative to an iPad or laptop for short periods of use with a table or work surface, esp. when surface space is small.

Optional Control Center toggles for personal hotspot and for VPN. If one uses either a lot, it's a nuisance to go to Settings for that.

I still want my Power Button idea:

If anywhere but the home-screen a single power button press returns you home (like the home button used to).
If home, power off per usual.

I'm done swiping up. its annoying and flakey.

Mail app:
They should allow you to mark all to delete emails in mail without having to swipe down.

They should allow you to automatically send unread emails straight to bin after a set period, set by user.

I’m sure you can do this with accessibility settings. But for the most of us swiping is way better than using a physical button.

You cant and it should be a toggle and off by default.

Also: I would argue that most people would find a physical button easier to press than swiping. Im not saying they would prefer it over screen real-estate.. but as far as ease of use i would argue you're completely wrong.
