What about something to control the size of system data for one and a way to reduce the Documents & Data size - clean it out/clear cache? - for apps. Examples: Podcasts - none on my iPhone but D&D says it totals over 600MB but the app itself 13.5MB, a Solitaire game - D&D says 668MB but the app itself 162MB.

A phone favorites that dynamic with those called the most. Android has been doing this for a long time.

Rather than bringing out a buggy version of an operating system every year, how about just having updates to an already working one. Adding improvements on a continual basis.

Looking at that list of what is wanted, it could be assumed that what people really want is android on an iPhone. I enjoy some of the locked down parts of IOS because it feels safer, however if the developers could just pick up an android phone once in their lives they would see a world of features that many users could find very useful. I mean it’s a cheat sheet that is so easy, or at least in theory.

Maybe I should get my grandson to apply for a developers role for IOS, he’s only four but I’m sure he would improve on their cast of dunderheads.

For messaging apps, I don’t want to necessarily snooze all notifications, but I’d like an option for a per chat delay before receiving another notification.
Something like no repeat notifications from a group chat for X seconds or minutes.
During that delay if someone messages me in a different chat, then I would still get notified of it. The delay would also apply to that chat as well.

And if I need to, then snooze the whole app or all notifications for X amount of time.

It’s pretty annoying getting like 30+ notifications in 10 seconds when a specific group chat gets really chatty.

  • Separate app for password managing.
  • Better grouping of notifications. Also want to be able to dismiss and configure notifications for a specific app when they appear, instead of having to do this separately in Settings app.
  • Live and interactive widgets.
  • Widgets on lock screen
  • Notes: Support for Markdown.
  • Notes: Ability to center cell text in tables, and also add a colour to cells.
  • iPadOS: Floating app windows.
  • iPadOS: Real external monitor support.

It would be nice to see more sophisticated editing features for photos. More options for straightening wonky parts of photos. Smoothing-out lighting imbalances in a photo (e.g. A photo has natural light and lamp light in it). Selective editing.

When a photo is in editing mode, the Options (***) feature should have better access to third-party app features. More app developers should be forced to put access to their app features in Options (***)

Scanning objects with LIDAR and sharing it. For example, go over object closer or slower for more detail. Receiver can view it in AR.

Option to record and transcribe phone calls.

A scratch pad to write things quickly right in the Phone app.

Option to use AirPods Pro earbuds to record ambient sound when they're in ears.

Currently the light blinks once when there's a message (A setting in Settings). It could blink periodically for a few minutes...like a BlackBerry

Rearranging app icons can be annoying; moving it from one page to another page

Improve keyboard typing

"Always-on" showing speed limit for the road I am currently driving on

Can I put a vote in for iPhone to iPhone contact sharing? It's 2022 and I still have to hand off my phone to have people punch in numbers and crikey, we had seamless contact sharing back in the Palm Pilot days.
So, like AirDrop basically? Where the user has to be in direct vicinity, is that what you’re insinuating?

Smart Photo Storage.

You know how you're taking a picture of your kids or dog or whatever and you snap like 10 pictures to get that one good one? Then you don't delete the other nine. What if Siri or some algorithm could look at it later and say "Hey, you took ten pictures today within a minute of each other and they are all similar. Do you want to delete some to free up space?"

I thought notifications did clear from other devices when cleared from others? Or is that only an Apple Watch to iPhone sync?

Battery settings option to stop charging at 80% and shutdown at 20%. How much waste could we eliminate if batteries lasted longer? Let's be nice to them, the environment, and our wallets.

Archive option for iMessage (Like FB Messenger) Remove from message lists but when a new message it brings back the previous conversation. Use existing deletion rules ”after xx days”

1.Desperately need proper message sync between all devices. SMS’s don’t delete from all my devices when deleted on 1. Need to delete them individually my iPad, Mac and Watch.
2. Search in messages is terrible and painfully slow.
3. Deleting photos, documents in messages is a pain too. Need a better interface here.
