iOS 17 Photos App Can Tell You What Those Confusing Laundry Symbols Mean

Then put English on the machines exported to US.
Most do in the US. No harm putting little text below the symbols.

My guess is that the recognition works better with a static image. Not one that is moving.
Then they would have to have custom faceplates for each language. This way is cheaper. I assume the manufacturers explain the symbols in the user manual but that is usually tossed out with the box..
Yea, I load my washer, turn the knob one click to the right, click the button to set the spin cycle on “Super Pursuit Mode”, open the dispenser to toss in a pod and fabric softener, and roll with it.
If Apple really wanted to impress me, they would invent an app that did my laundry.
Totally agree. It should just be an on-screen viewer wtihout the need to clutter up your photo roll with garbage photos of tags.

Thanks for sharing that, I did not realize that some of those logos were a Chinese knockoff version, I'd just thought there was a compressed version that didn't look as awful. Drives home even more just how bad the European one is.
