Hi everyone, I’ve run into a weird issue after updating to 18.4. My screen no longer automatically locks. I have it set for 30 seconds, I changed it to 1 minute and still stays on. The only change I’ve made is updating the OS. Has anyone else come across this? Thanks

Maybe a hard reset / force reset helps?
Because I don’t encounter that behavior on my 15 PM on iOS 18.4 beta 1

Is anybody having issues with fast charging the iPhone? Since I installed iOS 18.4 Beta 1 on my iPhone 14 Pro Max the charging is very very slow, considering that I use my MacBook Pro charger. Like, 1% to 7% in 20min... it's not normal at all.

Are you looking directly at your phone when observing this issue? Because if you have attention awareness features tuned on, your phone won’t lock until you look away.

Now that you mentioned it, I did a test. I had “require attention for Face ID” turned off originally. Turning it back on and the auto lock works again. Turning that toggle off and auto lock doesn’t work.

Definitely a bug. I’ve always had require attention for Face ID turned off and phone has never behaved like this.

Please report back here with your Feedback ID now you’ve determined the issue/bug. It’s always useful for others to know these in case they need to report the same bug.

So I installed IOS 18.4 beta on my iPhone 13 pro...Apple Intelligence was on earlier IOS 18 but now it's not on the device...what's up with that?
Hey man, I am coming from a discussion you started about 128 GB of RAM for mac pro 6,1. So did you ever successfully install it??? I am trying to find out in particular - whether LRDIMM RAM is compatible????
Please get back to me!! Thank you.

I just turned this setting off and have confirmed the bug on my phone. Awesome that we were able to determine the cause of this bug as a community!

Yes. Since the first version of iOS 18 I have it
I also experience that even on my second IP16 PM. Thought this beta would resolve that issue. But hopefully on the next coming betas, it will be addressed and resolved. 🤞

Do you have any temporary solution to this issue? For me, disabling AOD stops the flickering. Though if I want to use AOD, I need to turn off cellular and connect only on wifi to have internet connection.

Never spotted any flickering on any version of iOS 18, on a 16 Pro Max.

Sounds like a user perception issue. Different people perceive flickering differently from others. I’d probably look at your screen and find it fine. You don’t. Just perception.

Oh, actually I have seen flicker like that on my 16 Pro Max. It reminds me of a bad video card on a Mac. I'm hoping it's something in the 'video' driver pipeline.

It doesn't bother me, I just kind of accept it. Hope it eventually gets fixed though.

Is the frame rate issue any better on 18.4? Running into issues like 29% of the time where 120hz gets stuck at a lower rate and not only that but everything seems extra choppy.
