NO not true. AI features was released in ios 18.0.0 trust me I know things. And I barely have anything on my phone so since I didn't delete anything on my icloud theres no reason it shouldve doubled. Stop trying to make it my fault.
I’m not trying to make it your fault at all. I’m sure it’s something else in the 18.0 update, but Apple Intelligence wasn’t introduced until 18.1.

Apple Intelligence is available in beta starting with iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 when your device language and Siri language are set to a supported language.

It’s going to be a year before they roll out all the features promised anyway so we haven’t gained much from an early release.

They’ve done it this way to appease the stock market rather than their customers.
We should wait until the beta drops before assuming it isn't coming until 18.5 beta.

After watching lots of videos comparing AI remover from Samsung vs iPhone dude it’s really disgusting years behind. If needs years to polish go delayed it but iOS 18 has nothing with AI working as properly.
No, it's not disgusting.

Please, please learn what generative edit is, then, you can complain.

This is not any magic, Lightroom has had object eraser with and without generative editing, Apple's Magic Eraser it's just an object eraser with no generative editing, that's why it is different.

He might be confused due to the fact that both iOS 18.0 and iOS 18.1 were available in beta at the same time.

And it has no Polish support as well 🙄

Im convinced the ai feature is what destroyed my icloud storage. I have se 2022 and so it doesnt have ai features but Im saying that once I updated from ios 17.5 to 18.0.0 it completely destoryed my icloud storage by doubling the storage for no reason. It hasn't gone down at all. I keep reporting it in the feedback page. IOS 18 also has a bug in the message app where its not deleting texts once you manually delete them from recently deleted folder, usually it takes up to 4 days to delete on the server end but its not doing this. I just keep reporting it. Im told others have this issue too with messages.
You have an iPhone SE 2022. It's impossible for you to get Apple Intelligence on that phone. Apple Intelligence itself doesn't even use iCloud storage for the devices that do support it.

Something else is taking up your iCloud storage. Have you gone into Settings -> Account -> iCloud -> Storage to see what's taking up space?

Are you using iCloud Photos and recently recorded a video? That takes up iCloud storage.
Are you using Messages in iCloud and someone sent you videos/pictures? That takes up iCloud storage.
Did you download a large file in Safari? Those save to your iCloud Drive and take up iCloud storage.
Third-party apps can use iCloud storage. Did a third-party app upload something to iCloud?
Do you have an old phone or secondary device in iCloud Backup? That could have "doubled your storage".
This list goes on and on. A multitude of things could have happened, but it 100% wasn't Apple Intelligence.

Start a new thread and post a screenshot of your iCloud storage; maybe someone can help.

Said it back in September… it was going to take until after ios 19 release. Apple needs to stop with this ****.

I’m so sick and tired of feature announcements at a WWDC in June for software on new hardware in September just to show its features that inevitably never release with the device, or takes until 3/4 of the software cycle to be released.
They had to. If not, there isn’t any compelling reason to buy an iPhone 16. Too bad the things they offered are a joke compared to what the competition brought to market.

If Siri 2.0 is getting delayed again (18.5 instead of 18.4) it’s almost a year after announcement. Than you have to consider that Google is rolling out their assistant in all common used languages around the world simultaneously. You have to wonder what’s going on at Apple.

Seeing is believing but at this point I’ve totally lost trust in a positive outcome.

Microsoft used to overpromise, Apple has took over.

I mean it’s obvious that Apple lags behind in AI. You have to admit, it is a bit shocking, especially considering they were early to the AI Assistant game with Siri.
Siri STILL doesn't work. I literally use it only to set timers when cooking if I cant touch my phone. We have a 50% success rate with that task.

For those that want to see for the first time or are feeling nostalgic:

I did a follow along and either got a "I found this on the web." with generic Google results, or flat out failed. "What's going on this weekend?" returned today's news. Picking a different city gave me a Wikipedia link to that city. Movie results weren't formatted as nicely as they were so many years ago in that video, and I had to dig around a bit to find the IMAX theater that's 1 mile away from me. I'm guessing "AMC" is sponsoring search results somehow?

Finally, Siri said she didn't understand me when I said I was drunk, but she did open the map and give me driving directions. 😄

That’s because unlike Samsung, Apple wants this and other AI functionality to process locally and not have to transfer to a server in the cloud.

This is what happens when you let project managers set the timelines instead of developers. It's a tale as old as time. I'll never forget the time I told a project manager I needed double the time she allotted me for the features she wanted and she said "No, writing code is no different than writing an email."

She got the feature she allocated time for and looked like an idiot in front of the stakeholders when it didn't work right.
No, this is what happens when you have a clueless guy running software. Software has been **** since 13 years ago and we all know why.

You were silly enough to buy one. My iPhone 15 is still great. I’m not missing a thing.
You are silly enough to say that without knowing what I had before I got the 16. I'm sure your 15 works great...if that's what I had, I wouldn't have upgraded. It was time to upgrade.

As a project manager ableit in a different capacity, I couldn't agree with this more.

That’s because they probably want you to upgrade every new iOS version during the course of the cycle
