It literally looks just like iOS 18 with circles.
This is miles better than anything android.

So first Apple's clueless CEO Tim Cook allows Apple to copy flat design from Microsoft's Zune/Windows Phone/Windows 8, and now he will allow Apple to copy Google's Android. When Steve Jobs was CEO, Microsoft and Google copied Apple. When Clueless Cook is CEO, Apple copies Microsoft and Google.
You're trying to explain Android to someone who runs it daily, including PixelOS. The people I've mentioned didn't mention Android skins, they just said Android, by the way.
Same here. I've used the Modular and California faces to avoid square circles.

The icons all look like a bug has caused them to be incorrectly cropped. The glow on them looks like an accident too. Looks really bad all around.
This is considered a radical redesign? Making the icons circular and somewhat transparent? Lol. I knew it would be something as lame as this. What a boring mess Apple software has become. What are they doing with all those billions of dollars I wonder. Definitely not investing in software. Just look at the Siri saga and now this. It's hilarious.
I like the floating & glassy stuff, dislike the round icons. They waste space and don't look that good
You do know that pixel phones are a tiny fraction of android phones right and not representative of android?
Christ, just give us naturally shaped icons with some depth, a UI with a little texture, depth, layers and slight shadowing, and get rid of the tiny little arrows, links and little 'x's' so those of us with adult sized hands (okay, mine are large) can navigate with one try/tap, not a few attempts (at times).
Whatever they do and however they finalize this the overall aesthetic will most likely also appear in the next version of macOS, so I hope they get it right. I like some elements as some bits don't look as flat as in current iOS, but I'd like to see a more refined and updated 'new look and feel' iOS throughout.

Like, an icon shaped by thousands of years of erosion? An icon shaped by volcanic activity? That kind of natural? 😅
