its only been a day but how have peoples experiences been, specifically with iPhone 17 models (and 17 pro most of interest for me, but pro max for my significant other as well) .
I didn't see any lag in either app, on iP15Pro.Anyone else also having noticeable lag when scrolling through certain apps since updating to 26.2? At first I thought it's only Instagram but it's affecting, e.g., the Updates page (App Store) and the Settings app as well. Basically, when the screen is not moving and you flick up to scroll down, it takes a fraction of a second until the screen starts to move. It feels like registering the touch takes a very short (but noticeable) amount of time.
None on my 17 Pro or wife's 16 Pro. Make sure to restart your phone about 24 hours after new software.Anyone else also having noticeable lag when scrolling through certain apps since updating to 26.2? I have this issue on my iPhone 17 Pro Max but my mom's iPhone Air is buttery smooth. Anyone else also having this issue?
Why 24 h ?None on my 17 Pro or wife's 16 Pro. Make sure to restart your phone about 24 hours after new software.
Why 24 h ?
Thank you , I didn’t know that ! I usually do it right after the update. I’ll do it again tomorrow then. The thought is that the indexing should be complete and everything will have settled into place.
On iPhones that can support iOS 26, Apple has stopped allowing new builds of iOS 18. Seen this on a few of my old iPhones. It's a bummer. Is it impossible to install iOS 18 new versions anymore? I only see 26.2 on my 16 Pro
Does iOS 26.2 fix the blurry RCS text messages when I send a Text to my Android Contacts?None on my 17 Pro or wife's 16 Pro. Make sure to restart your phone about 24 hours after new software.
Yeah I usually hard restart after installing new iOS software.Thank you , I didn’t know that ! I usually do it right after the update. I’ll do it again tomorrow then.
My understanding is if you swap your iOS 18 device over to the Beta channel, you should be given the option to install the 18.7.3 RC, which is the same as the final build. Is it impossible to install iOS 18 new versions anymore? I only see 26.2 on my 16 Pro
since I haven't hit a glitch yet, I'm guessing you may be finding dependency glitches (ie what other apps are loaded, and the order in which they load) these are the devil to find if you don't have a complete load map and if you can't find them you can't fix them ... I suspect apple will need more complete bug reports or the default becomes user error or maybe delusional user

Thanks for your input. I already restarted my iPhone today (I updated yesterday) but unfortunately it didn't solve the issue. Really weird, never had laggy scrolling since owning Apple devices (2016). I hope it gets fixed somehow in the future.None on my 17 Pro or wife's 16 Pro. Wierd. Mine is a little better but still some little stutters on my 17pro. Only have 3 widgets too. Weather Google Calendar and the batteries widget. Once and awhile there is a long stutter too with a hang if I swipe back and forth a bunch of times in a row. Doesn’t really bother me as everything else is mostly smooth as butter with an occasional hiccup here and there but nothing is perfect. I primarily use reduce motion too but sometimes I turn the animations on for fun. Overall feels very similar to 26.1.The stutter, swiping from Today View to the Home screen, is fixed - iPhone 15 Pro. (Cosmetic, and sure, it's minor, but it's something...).
Hmmm. I didn't lose a thing.Well so far it’s a really nice update. It managed to delete the entirety of my safari data, i.e. bookmarks, tabs, tabgroups, reading list, and made sure to immediately sync it with the cloud, so it’s gone on all devices.
Just plain awesome![]()

strikes again!Did you make a full mac backup and iCloud backup before you upgraded to 26.2? Always do a full backup before you upgrade software.Well so far it’s a really nice update.
