Quick question: is search in settings broken? I type “Camera” or anothing else in the search bar in settings and it says “no results”.

Ok so now we have new BUG. Screen flickers when I type iMessages in Messages app.
And iOS 26 day 1 bug is still not fixed:

Since iOS 26, every version had my phone showing a blank screen with absolutely nothing except my background image most times the Face ID recognition fails.
I have to lock it and try again.
...and of course, unlocking with the code is pretty annoying already. If you inserted more numbers by mistake (or just because you were tapping on the screen randomly to even get to the code screen), your last number becomes the first one of the second attempt.
It's absolutely ridiculous, one of the most frequent interactions with the OS is still terrible after all of these years. It's like they don't even use their own phones and get frustrated like we do.

Hope this version fixed some of this. If not the disgusting-UX-choice part, at least the ridiculous-bug part that they introduced with iOS 26 because they were too busy developing a futuristic glass interface nobody likes.
With every version that doesn't fix it, I feel closer to buying an Android phone next time.

Has this actually been confirmed or has Apple made an official announcement somewhere? It's not in the release notes. I upgraded four iPhones, and none of them had SDP turned on even though all requirements needed for it are met...
Upgrading to 26.4 did not enable it on my iPhone.

Finally, more emoji. Apple is finally innovating with courage again. I can’t wait to see the exciting, new magical bugs that have been introduced from the ground up for Apple Intelligence. They are reimagined new bugs in more exciting colors and textures than ever before. Combined with Liquid Gass Pro, they are light years ahead of the competition. We are going to love them. And the music, it is more musical than ever seen before, packing more notes into a single song than in the audible spectrum. YOur ears will enjoy an experience never, heard, felt or seen - yes our music transcends the audio/visual interface - before. We call it EarVision pro. 26.4 is the most breathtakingly innovative iOS since we introduced the original iPhone.
Wow, that’s something only Apple can do.

In UK and just installed it and was asked to verify my age, ignored it then it used my apple id to do it automatically wtf !!!
Is that bad? It sounds like it either had your birthday already or inferred from the age of your account that you’re an adult.

I notice that Apple has now switched to security scare tactics to get users to update so they can continue to boast about how many devices are running the latest OS.

Ummm where’s Playlist Playground?

I remember when Apple was simple everything is so confusing, cumbersome and complicated nowadays.

Offline Music Recognition

In Control Center, the song recognition feature is now able to identify songs without an internet connection, providing results when you're back online.

This is useful for sure, but the way it’s being described makes me laugh.

What song is this?
- I will identify it for you!
That’s great, so do you know what is it?
- yes! I’ll tell you later!
Why not now?
- wanna be online.
But you do know what it is?
- Oh yeah, it’s that track by that artist.
Uhhhmmm…. But you won’t tell me yet?
-No not yet. Wanna be online first.
Ok. Thanks… I guess?
-Anything else I can help you with?
Yes! …I’ll tell you later!

(I presume it’s actually just saving an audio recording (or equivalent of) to identify when online)

Those of you who've been auto-age-verified, possibly due to account age, how old are your Apple accounts? Mine must be over a decade but no luck. I've bought phones, computers, apps, pay for iCloud. I've had to roll-back and restore from an IPSW because I really have no way to verify myself.

Did they made their announcements reality that you can’t skip ads in podcasts anymore? If that’s true I will switch to another podcast app..

The iPhone is 20 years old. And they still haven’t figured out the keyboard and autocorrect. Each year, it gets worse.

All I want is for my iPhone to recover from the amnesia since iOS 18 with remembering what a plumeria flower is in Search (Photos). It's a small thing, but how many other items did iOS forget starting with 18?

So installing 26.4 will be exciting, with anticipation like when playing a lotto scratcher -- did I win? The answer is usually no. We'll see soon...
