Any notable Liquid Glass tweaks at all?

Someone on Reddit said Home Screen icon borders are more refractive 🤢

When I opened the home screen for the first time after installing the update the horrible highlights around each app icon had gone and for a split second I thought they had actually rolled back on my least favourite aspect of iOS 26. Sadly it was just an anomaly. As soon as I moved the phone the highlights were back.

Isn‘t there a setting to disable or tone down the refractions on the edges?

I had issues previously where my Contacts widget, when opened, wouldn't show all the options when long-pressing on the "call" or "video" icons. In fact, the video one was usually (incorrectly) greyed-out.

Clicking "info" opened the Contacts app to the relevant contact but had the same issue.

This has been fixed today!

Yeah, I just had a third attempt after I updated my Mac to 26.5. This time I went a bit further in the update process but failed. I am downloading the 26.4 installer until they figure out what is going on with this 26.5 IPSW.View attachment 2618233
Just tried it again and it seems to be working now so might be a server issue when it was trying to verify the update

This only happens, when you have the battery saving mode activated. I can replicate this. If you turn this off, everything is smooth.
Perhaps for you but I have no “battery saving mode” activated and can reproduce it at will on my iPhone 17 Pro.

Apple has acknowledged the issue and the steps to reproduce this and lists more than ten reports.

Apple is so boring no one is in the beta program anymore
True. This beta really doesn’t bring anything exciting but we’re nevertheless late in the cycle. Can’t remember a .5 update with heavy changes.
iOS 27 will be the next interesting one in a couple of months.

This is still here since 26.3, every once in a while finished updated would keep showing as a full progress circle
