Do it, it’s so smooth and runs fast on my 15 PM and battery life is good tooThe temptation to jump from iOS 18.6.1 onto the iOS 26 beta train with my 16 Pro is growing 😄

You have to overcome temptation, so click on software update 😅😁The temptation to jump from iOS 18.6.1 onto the iOS 26 beta train with my 16 Pro is growing 😄

Is the way how to do tasks in any way changed with the new Design Elements? Most everything is almost clear for me like notifications. I am super stoked how this is turning out. Loving the new ways of doing everyday tasks across the board. Performance is great. Hope they keep it more glassy now that they have it such that you can read things in the boxes now. Perhaps because I have darker wallpaper and use the dark icons. I dunno but I like it!
Anyone else have issues where this toolbar doesn’t show up when you start typing? I’m using iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard. It also doesn’t give me word prediction, but it does on my iPhone. Both are running betas.

Are you using a different beta than me? For me it’s clearly a huge difference between iOS 18 and iOS 26The revert back to frost sucks. It’s basically the same as iOS 18 now, just a bit more frost and blur.
maybe one thing to add to the "a" build hype ...That’s nothing worth saying- as many of us already mentioned - means it was just compiled in one rush!
That’s not true. There are clearly new design elements. Overall the new design is by far not that big or groundbreaking as advertised. The way we will use the phone will stay the same. There are just some visual updated elements and some buttons are now on the bottom. The revert back to frost sucks. It’s basically the same as iOS 18 now, just a bit more frost and blur.
Can’t confirm. On my 15 Pro it’s much cooler than with the previous betas. Give it while to settle, there might be still some background processing going on.My 15PM is warm when using it for normal tasks like Safari. Will try another reboot.
FaceplamGood thing we can run any AI service we’d like on our iPhones!

Hi all! I‘m confused with the lockscreen options. Jumped on the beta train with PB3, now on PB4. I swear some of the pictures I used on PB3 I could setup as a lockscreen with both (!) spatial (? > tilt moves background) and 3D effect (clock hides behind something in the picture). Now all I seem to manage to do is either one or the other.
Is it me? The picture? The Beta? Or am I imagining things?
Thx!
Still enjoying ios26, mainly because I like change (and enjoy fast animations).
Android is fragmented but basic apps are updated through Play Store, so even if the phone keeps the same android version it would get an update for the Messages native app.Not sure why everyone is putting all the onus on Apple for this... as fragmented as Android is, many Android clients don't support RCS 3.0, which means that even when Apple does, there's a good possibility that the convo with an android user still won't be E2EE...
I see you went for the Public Beta over the Dev Beta. What was the reason. I only ask as I am in the same boat as you now. Tempted to jump onboard!Loving the look of iOS 26. Superb visual design changes with Liquid Glass 🤩

I think it’s just for the pure imagining that you’re safer than with the db 7 🤣I see you went for the Public Beta over the Dev Beta. What was the reason. I only ask as I am in the same boat as you now. Tempted to jump onboard!
