Not sure what they fixed… lots of valid complaints here on MR and elsewhere - the visual issues and glitches persist… stupid stuff like the Wallet icon still missing in the Privacy settings. Stuff that should have been caught and corrected long ago.

Clearly, this ain’t your daddy’s Apple, that’s for sure.

If this glitches will be present in the RC, I will be really disappointed of Apple as a software developer.
There are some issues, due to a personal view bigger or smaller ones, that are most often carried until the release version
Saw the same comments over all these years. So when we’re about that, apple still is a pretty bad software developer.

The obsession with details that Apple used to have has been long gone for years. Not saying people shouldn’t complain, but comparing the Tim Cook Apple with the Jobs Apple (or even the Scott Forstall Apple) will always end in annoyance. I don’t know Samsung’s One UI well, but I would assume there are issues on the Android side as well – exception being Google, who clearly still invests in design.

Which makes sense, as Google’s had the technology, but it was tied to poor user experience and visual design. Those things can be improved (as they’ve demonstrated). Apple went the other direction.

My point being that Apple is just like any other technology company now, and OS 1.0 releases are going to continue to be an annoying combination of half-baked features and lack of attention to detail.

I’m glad they still solicit feedback, which they _do_ listen to (the yo-yo-ing of the glass UI as an example), but the attention to detail? It’s gone, and without a leadership change, it ain’t coming back.

I had multiple pixels. Tons of bugs. Google’s no savant. 😉

Mine too but the glassy outline popping in after app closure is driving me crazy and so killing all my good feelings about iOS 26 (like the speed-up app opening animations and the general look that I really like).

How can everyone at Apple (exec-team?) not see that? I am 100% sure, that this ugly visual glitch will be exactly the same on aaaaaall shiny new 17-series out of the box.

That is exactly the lack of attention for detail that I hated for years on Android. Now Apple too seems to not give a single f*** about details. Woks somehow? Good to go! Looks like sh*t? Pfff, not wasting any time on it. Sad.

Not seeing the app redraws now, but still have the scrolling micro hitches/stutters, especially in Safari. I feel like I'm back on my Pixel phones with their microstutters during scrolling.

Edit: also had Safari lock up and crash within the first 5 min.
Seems to me that some processes are running directly after the update.

Still seeing the phone being “silenced” after a reboot, even with the switch being in ring mode. After a reboot, the phone won’t make any sounds until the mute switch is toggled a few times. Then it works as normal until the next time the device is rebooted or powered off.

This started at some point throughout the beta process and remains as of beta 9. Anyone else?
Yeah, I noticed this on my iPhone 13 two or three betas ago. So far OK since the first boot up from the beta install. But won’t be surprised if it happens again.
Not only that, but I was in a meeting on the last beta with the phone on silence by the switch on the side, and the phone rang during the freaking meeting! So the silence/vibe switch had no effect until I toggle it a couple of times.

None of the visual bugs in my list have been fixed in this beta release either. I don’t think they’ll fix any visual bugs until iOS 26.1 beta 1. If they don’t fix them with 26.1 either, I won’t expect anything until iOS 27.

I really miss Steve Jobs era.
