No redesign, keep the same form factor. I’d like slimmed down bezels, more efficient display, satellite, and better battery life (7 days would be awesome).

I love that people think that watchmakers change designs annually. Some designs don’t change for decades and people love them for that.

Holding out for blood oxygen, glucose monitoring, blood pressure…and video FaceTime call features. 😂😂😂

I see many women in Japan ultra one and two. It looks so large on the wrist. It looks gaudy. specially, when they put bling on it. A small screen, would look better on the woman’s wrist.

I understand and get what you're asking for...
What might not work in favor of a smaller case is the 100m water resistance rating, there's a lot of pressure the watch is exposed to, thus the case size. Also, I am not aware of "small" dive watches though I could be wrong about that.
Always, 5 or so more weeks and we'll have facts ...

There are dive watches that go 200m under water and are 37mm. There are many watches at this size and even smaller that go 100m.

In this image 1) the total bezels (glass + metal) are basically identical and 2) the 10 is scaled as it is IRL 1 mm larger vertically than the S9.
The black bezel around the 10 is larger than it is on the 9. It’s not debatable, it’s a fact.

Short battery? My Ultra 2 lasts two days. That's a day longer than my old series 6. How long do you think the battery should be able to last at the current technology level and all the function packed into the Ultra 3?
If people are actually using it for its intended purpose of outdoor outdoors adventurous stuff, they’re not necessarily near a charger every day or two. Should be maybe 5+ days so people are not getting stranded when the gps / nav shuts off.

The latest iOS 26 beta includes imagery that confirms Apple's work on a new version of the Apple Watch Ultra, which is set to come out this fall. MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris found an Apple Watch image with a resolution that does not correspond to any current Apple Watch models.

The image suggests that the upcoming Apple Watch Ultra 3 could have a slightly larger display size, with a display resolution of 422 x 514. The current Apple Watch Ultra 2 has a 410 x 502 resolution.

We haven't heard rumors of an increase in casing size, but the Apple Watch Ultra 3 could be the same size as the current version with slimmed down bezels that allow for a larger display area.

Apple is expected to unveil the Apple Watch Ultra 3 in just over a month, alongside new iPhone 17 models and the Series 11 Apple Watch models.

Rumors suggest that the Ultra 3 will also feature satellite connectivity for off grid communication, a brighter display with a faster refresh rate, a new chip, and any health features that are coming such as blood pressure monitoring.

Congratulations everyone! We’ve finally got the additional 144 pixels we were all waiting for! 🎉

If there is blood pressure I am upgrading from AW2 for sure.
After 45… monitor everything 😂
But then I have to give up the Blood Oxygen feature on my Series 9 to get the blood pressure on the AW3...just settle the case, Apple, and give us that feature back.

It's time to get stoked for the BIGGEST UPDATE to the Apple Watch Ultra since Apple revolutionized the wearable market with the best-in-class Apple Watch Ultra. This year, Apple is taking things to a whole new level, with a game-changing health feature. Apple can't wait to see the incredible things customers are able to do with the ALL NEW health feature. Apple thinks you're gonna love it!

Love an Apple Watch but they’re a non starter for me until they address the rubbish battery life. Garmin all day any day until they can get at least a week or two between charges.

Well, in that case I guess you'll wait a lot. Apple seems pretty comfortable with the idea of having to charge your watch every 24 to 48 hours. I'm not sure they'll invest a lot of effort in increasing the battery life, unless they run out of new ideas for their annual update.

This is interesting. It looks like just a 3% increase in screen size, if the pixel density remains the same? I mocked up a 3% increase here, if the case were to remain the same size, and the difference in bezels is barely noticeable to me.

Maybe this points to a more significant redesign? That could make sense given last year's model was identical, with just the dark finish added, but there have been no rumors about a new case. Something a little slimmer with a screen that is technically, if barely, bigger than the Series 10/11 would tempt me.

Thanks for the drawing

Maybe it will have an ever so slight increase in display area to match the Series 10. However expecting the new Ultra 3 to have the same physical dimensions.
