16Pro no major issues for me to report. This is probably the first release I would be reasonably confident calling stable. Things like scrolling through appstore search results do not overlap with status bar anymore, way less weird glitches and performance seems fine.

My messages refuse to sync to iCloud on my iPad Pro. Stays stuck in “Syncing with iCloud.” Any ideas on how to fix this? I tried to hard restart, and turning iCloud messages on/off. All other devices sync fine.

Wow, my iPhone 13 took an absolute dump yesterday. I suddenly had no volume for incoming alerts and texts. YouTube had no volume. The only thing that worked was for incoming calls I could hear a ring tone. After hard resets and trying everything but a factory reset I've decided to switch to a backup device. I've been on the beta program since the beginning and never had an issue like this. Don't know if it's even related to the beta, possibly the phone just took a dump on its own but I'll be back on my trusty Android until I figure something out or feel like doing a factory reset.
I used to have an iPhone mini 13 that I really liked, but for some dumb reason I sold it. I noticed on eBay they have brand new ones in the box still available for a pretty reasonable price. And before you say why don't you just get a 17 I don't want to deal with the e sim. Because I'm a phone swapper. And e Sims on AT&t are a pain too frequently swap to another phone.

Reduce Transparency option in Accessibility results in an obvious performance hit on the iPhone 16 Pro Max (tested on two devices).

Easy tests to reproduce:

1.) Take a screenshot with the two buttons for that. It takes waaaay too long the first time you do it with Reduce Transparency enabled.

2.) Go into Messages to your list, tap on a contact to message them. Type anything (whether you send it or not). Then swipe back out to the Messages list of recipients either by swiping or hitting the back arrow. You’ll see the bottom half of the screen take a second to load in the recipients.

Seeing all sorts of lag with this enabled. Very annoying as the transparencies just make it more distracting to use iOS 26.

Have been in the Dev then PB for iOS 26. Installed iOS 26 RC PB when it was available. Today, the iPhone 16 PM has been absolutely buggy and no restarts clearing any of it. Apps not loading, Mail not loading, settings getting turned on at random even when they’re not supposed to be, slow, sometimes unresponsive Safari, WiFi has been hit or miss. Too many crashes to be comfortable with suddenly. Reported each issue. Hopefully Apple can get this stuff fixed in time.

PCalc also updated for iOS 26

Bottom tab is needlessly wide when minimized with too much blank space around?
Is it a bug or did they make it look like this in purpose?

iOS 26, great.

iPadOS 26, could be better. The mini menu bar looks bad and should just be the full menu bar from macOS.

macOS 26, bad in many places. The SDK needs a fall back for devs who do not want Liquid Glass and very strong curves in their apps.

Well, the RC pretty much messed up the battery of my iPhone 15. It recalculated that I would need a 85% charging limit for my use, so I left it at that, yet since then every time I plug the iPhone in, it is charged all the way up to a 100%. I have tried the hard restart and will be reinstalling iOS 26 with ISPW on Monday, just in case they come up with a newer build.

Just for the record, I have been running iOS 26 betas since DB3 and no issues at all until the RC.

Anyone else noticed anything strange with the battery on the RC?

Update: reinstalling the RC with IPSW did not fix it for me, so perhaps my iPhone is still trying to recalibrate the battery now, since I have now left the beta channel. Let’s see…

My 16 Pro is at 47 percent after being off charge for 15 hours, seems pretty decent considering I only installed the RC yesterday.

Just got a call about a package delivery and the call screening feature worked perfectly. The man answered the Siri message and my phone ringed after it.

Maybe in the future we can choose topics that will be auto rejected; like phone company deals.
